I read the book Death in the freezer. the book is about a girl who doesn't have a brother or sister at firts so she gets a lot of attention, but when her brother was born it was completely different. The brother got al the attention, her parents were no longer interrested in her. This is when she began to hate her brother really bad, she even played that her dolls were Al (her brother), she kept injecting the dolls whit an old syringe her mother gave her. When she was then her mother died? her dad became verry unhappy and had drinking issues. ellen was a beoutifull girl and had a lot of boyfriends. Her dad didn't like them in fact he hated every single one of them untill later Ellen met a 22 year old boy he came to her house for a date but Ellen's dad didn't allow Ellen to go so the boy hit the dad and they ran. Al had a succesfull rockband and made a lot of money but he still couldn't care less about his sister, the only thing she was good for was cleaning and getting him clean drugs from the hospital. Ellen was a good girl so she always did what her brother asked untill one day Ellen gave Al a dirty syringe, this resulted in Al getting aids. Aids whas going to get Al killed so he hired some people to freeze his body so he could later be woken up by doktors. Ellen wasn't really happy whit that becouse these people were also getting payed to look out for Al's belongings whitch would normally go to Ellen so one day Ellen drove to Al's house took out the plug of the freezing machine Al was in cousing Al to die. When she was trying to run back to her car she triggered a car alarm and got coucht. The police man linked her to Al's death so she had to go to trial.

I think the book reads very fast and is clear from the beginning untill the end. the negative things about this book are: that its very short so the actions aren't really exciting. The reason behind the murder is also a little silly.

I would recommend this book to someone who has no experience at al whit reading english because its a very short and easy to read book. to readers who are a little more experienced i would recommend to read a different book thats a little more challenging.

The book Death in the Freezer toll about the ordinary family Shore. When Ellen was six years old, her brother Al was born. Ellen doesn’t like that because her parents found Al more important than her. When Ellen was twenty-nine, she was a nurse. Her brother Al was a famous rock star. Ellen had very little money. And of course her brother was very rich. She thought that if her brother died, that she get all of the money that belongs to him. When Al went on a tour, he asked Ellen for good drugs. Instead of giving him good drugs, she gives him bad drugs with bacteria. Al died, but there was also another reason.
Personally, I found it a good book. It wasn’t wordy. The book had stage 2, so it was easy to read. I understood all the words. There are only 40 pages, so it is also recommended for people who don’t like to read. I found the book very well. Everything was clear. There was also a glossary, what easy is if you don't understand a word. There are no bad things so you should definitely read the book.

Hi! I’m Lisa from Belgium and I read ‘Death in the Freezer’ for a task English. I have to write a review about this book on this site.

The book ‘Death in the Freezer’ is in stage 2. It’s reads very easy and smooth. I read this in half an hour. I have chosen for stage 2 because I am dyslexic.

The book is about Ellen Shore. When she got six, Ellen had a brother Al. Since Al was born, her parents think that a son is more important than a daughter and they weren’t interested in her anymore. Ellen begins to hate her brother. When they grow up, Ellen is a nurse has 3 kids but is not married. She lives in a small apartment and is poor. Al is a famous rock star and plays in a band. He is rich and has a lot of cars but he gives nothing to his sister. Ellen still hates her brother so she has a plan, but some of Al’s strange friends got a plan too…

‘Death in the Freezer’ got a lot of pictures. I really like that! I also like the book because it’s easy to read for me. I do recommend this book to other readers and classmates. The book isn’t boring and is very surprising at the end.

Death in the freezer is a story about an ordinary family who lived in America. Ellen lived a happily life until her brother Al was born. Since Al was born, Ellen wasn't important anymore. Because her parents loved Al more, she got very jealous. A few years later both their parents died. When they grew up, Al became a rockstar and Ellen became a nurse at the hospital. When Al was on tour with his band, he asked Ellen for some drugs. Ellen didn't wanna bring drugs to the venue, but her brother was very desperate. When he got back home from tour, he got very sick. Al was addicted to drugs and also had aids. A few friends of Al were scientist. They came up with a plan to freeze him. When Ellen found out all these things were happening, she killed her own brother.

The book is about teenagers who lose their parents at a young age. One of them also has to deal with a drug problem and diseases. I don't like scientific books, but this book isn't only scientific. The story has many unexpected twists. My score for this book is 8/10. If you like unexpected twists, you definitely have to read this book.

The book Death in the Freezer was a very short book and very easy to read. I got this book from my teacher and i had to read this book for a task. The book is very interesting and i enjoyed reading the story.

The story is a bout Ellen Shore, she has a little brother Al and she is not happy with him. She things her mom and dad love him more. She has always done everything for her bother, she helped him with a lot of things (cleaning is house). Ellen is a nurse and Al is a rich and famous and he used her to get 'clean' drugs because he is a drug addict who things he can only play good music when he is on drugs. One day Ellen comes home and then she found her brother in a very strange condition.

I think this is a really good book for someone who as not a big reader. I would recommend this book for people who are not really good at English.

I have read the book ‘Death in the freezer’. The book was about a girl, Ellen shore and her little brother Al. Ellen doesn’t like her brother because she doesn’t get attention anymore from her parents. All the attention goes to Al. When they grow up Ellen still doesn’t like her brother, she hate him. Al is famous and very rich, he has a big house and travels around the world. But Al gets sick and he meet new people, The Futures. The futures are sorts of scientists. Ellen doesn’t trust them. On a day Ellen visit the beautiful big house from her brother. What she sees there she can’t believe, her brother is in the basement in a freezer. Why Al is in that glass case you have to read.

I really liked the book. It was a very bizarre story and not very realistic, but that’s why I liked the book. It was not very difficult to read and it’s not a complicated story.

When you like a little drama, it’s a good book to read. You don’t have to be very good in English, cause it’s not a difficult book with complicated words. The ending of the story isn’t something that you expect. When you start reading, you can’t stop reading and the book is over before you know. So it’s worth reading.

'I feel nothing, at first. Then I begin to feel cold, like ice. Like a body in a freezer.'
I have read the book ‘Death in the freezer’. The book is about Ellen a nurse, the main character, she lives with her brother in an ordinary family. She was a happy girl before Al was born, but when they were little Al got a lot of attention from their parents and she didn’t liked it! It was getting worse. When they are adults Al became a rock star and has a lot of money, he travels around the world and meet a lot of new people. Meanwhile, Ellen leaves the house and lives together with her boyfriend John. In contrast of her brother has Ellen not enough money. She is not happy and her John isn’t only hers. One day Al said ‘I am going away on a tour’ Ellen looked at him and thought that he’s going to ask her to come too, but he wants Ellen to clean his house. He also asked her to get drugs from the hospital for him and she will get him some. While he was on tour she went to his house and saw there something that she didn’t expected.
I have chosen this book because I think the title is scary and I like to read a scary book with not too much fantasy . This book is a good thriller. It has stage two, so it’s easy to read. I understood the story and I would recommend it to people who don’t like reading.

Ellen is six when her brother Al is born, she doesn't like him because he takes all the attention away from her. When they are older it's still the same, Ellen cleans his house and cooks for him while Al parties. Al gets really addicted to drugs, becomes very ill and discovers he has aids. A disease with no cure at the moment. However he gets frozen to be reborn when they have a cure. But he never gets that far and dies. Ellen needs to go to court and at the end she gets the blame.

I don't really like the book because there didn't really happenned anything interesting in it and it was to easy to read. However I did like the theme and maybe if the book was a bit longer and more things happened, it could have been very good. It's also nice to think about the fact that maybe one day we can be frozen and wake up many years later. But for now I don't believe it is possible.

I would recommend this book, but only for people who are still struggling with their English and find it a very difficult language. Otherwise it coule be boring.

When you read the title of the book 'Death in the freezer', you think it is an exciting book. But I don’t think this book is that scary, it was rather sad.

To start the book tells a story about a girl named Ellen. She was an only child and her parents loved her. When she was six years old, her life took a different turn: She got a brother, named Al. Before he was born, her parents spent a lot of time with her, but afterwards they didn’t. That’s why Ellen hated Al.
When their mother died, their father was unhappy and began to drink. Therefore Ellen went to live with her boyfriend at a young age. After a few years they had three children and she became a nurse. Her brother Al was a rock star and very rich.

After the death of their father, she saw Al more often. She cooked for him when he had big parties. When Al went on a tour, she mostly gave him drugs to help him play good music. One night there was a party at Al’s house. That night Ellen met Dan Future and his wife Linda. A few weeks later, Dan and Linda were at Al’s house again but not for business: unlike they killed Al by putting him in a freezer. That same night, Ellen went to her brother’s house and found out she wasn’t alone. She caught the two murderers. A few nights later, Ellen went back to unplug the freezer so she could accuse Dan and Linda of murder. However, this turned out differently in court.

This was the first time that I read an English book. When I started reading, I liked the book. After a while, the story started to get strange, so the book got a bit boring. I liked the pictures in the book, this made reading more enjoyable and you could understand the story more easily. Another positive aspect is that the book isn't that long, so that's good for novice readers.

I find this a strange story. I had hoped it would end differently but it didn’t. However, I didn’t like the book, it read very fast. I would recommend the book to beginners, because it is easy to read and you will get the story.

This book is very good for beginner and intermediate English learners. When you read this book, you get very clear picture of the situations described. Also, I think the story is somewhat brutal and at the same time educational. I have read few other short stories like this by Tim Vicary, I would recommend it to English learners.

The main character Ellen Shore is part of an extremely ordinary American family, but everything changes when her little brother Al is born when she is only 6 years old. Her parents care for only Al and are ignorant towards Ellen. As a result, she feels lonely and forlorn. Soon, her isolation changes to hatred of her brother. When her mother dies when Ellen is 10, her father continues to appreciate only Al. One day, when Ellen turns 18 years old, her father sees Ellen wearing a short skirt and going to a party with her boyfriend, John, who is 22 years old. When Ellen’s dad stops her and tries to hit her, John prevents him and Ellen runs away from home. From that day, Ellen and John have three kids, but John does not stay loyal to her. He has a few more other girlfriends that also have his children. Ellen eventually becomes a nurse but is unable to earn a lot of money. Even after dad’s death, Ellen and Al feel nonchalant and ignorant about their dad’s death. Al starts a rock band and keeps in touch with Ellen since she is the only family member left. Al’s rock band becomes a huge success, and Al attains status as a famous and rich celebrity. Ellen hopes to gain something out of her relationship with Al, but he merely treats Ellen as a cleaning lady. Later on, Al starts taking drugs, which makes his health worse. Ellen helps him get better; however, Al does not take care of himself and returns to his ill state. He even requests Ellen to give him some hospital drugs. Al leaves his house for a month because of a tour, and when he comes back home, he is with some strangers who claim themselves as businessmen. The next day, which was Al’s birthday, Ellen goes to Al’s house and expects a huge party, but her expectations are totally wrong. Instead, the house is completely quiet, and she finds her brother inside a freezer of -196 Celsius. She meets the “businessmen” and realize that Al’s money is taken away. The businessmen assert that they put Al into the freezer to prevent him from dying from AIDS. Ellen goes to a lawyer and understands that the only way to get Al’s money is to prove that he is dead. Right after she hears that, she goes to her brother Al, shuts down the electricity, and he dies. Soon, the police come and arrest her and take her to court. She employs the best lawyers and doctors to support her. The atmosphere of the court seems to support her. However, the police lawyer comes up and tells the court that it was actually Ellen’s fault that Al ended up getting AIDS. She claims that the syringes that Ellen had given Al were actually infected with dirty bacteria, saying the Ellen had planned Al’s death slowly and manipulatively. As the truth is revealed, Ellen is sent to prison for her deadly crime.
After reading the book, I was grateful to have such a great family who can always support and love me for who I am.

I picked this book because of the book's title. 'Death in the Freezer.' It seemed like scary story, so I started to read. The main character, Ellen had her little brother, Al who Ellen hated every time. When her younger brother was born, everybody loves him except Ellen. That's why she hated her brother. After Ellen's father died because of alcohol intoxication, Al made a music band and became famous. He sold albums of his band and earned a lot of money. Otherwise, Ellen's job was a nurse of one hospital but she didn't earn money that much. So she thought that if her brother died, all of money that belongs to him would belong to her because Ellen is his family. So she gave bad drugs that has bacteria to Al. Al trust her that this drugs were good. However, the drug made him sick later. Few months later, Ellen heard that her brother was suffering from AIDs. Then, the company called Futures visit Al's house and put him in the freezer. They said that Al will able to alive 200 years later and during that season, the company will control all of the money that Al had. Ellen didn't want to. Few days later she visited Al's house quietly and turn off the freezer and let her brother die. The Future company knew, so Ellen went to the court. Finally, she was put in prison.
