This was a short little scene, in line with a revenge romance. It focused mostly on the sex, and while it was too short to get a good sense of the characters, it did leave me wanting to know more about them, so it was a testament to good writing and thus the 2 star rating instead of 1.

Suffering through a divorce that isn’t yet final, Sofia McNaughton is lost in the world around her. Her almost ex-husband’s infidelity and repeated accusations that she was at fault by being too reserved and prudish cornered her in a pit of depression with no apparent escape. On a rare impulse she stops for a hitchhiking stranger, braves possible danger and does something completely spontaneously. Welcome to the new Sofia! This is yet another Naughty Nooner, steeping with scenes of raw passion and unbridled sex. The perfect mixture to inspire some and rejuvenate others, Discovering Sofia can easily be consumed while waiting for the train or bus (remember to keep any physical reactions discrete). This book, like many of its ilk, makes the term light literature a literary statement. This provides the perfect interlude to brighten a hectic day. It will never titivate the New York’s Bestseller List….but who cares? It was fun and it was free; what more can you ask?

This was a very quick free read from Ellora's Cave. The heroine has just gone through a terrible separation from her cheating husband, and is fleeing to a new town to get away from the painful memories of her previous life. While driving into her new place of residence, she notices a smoking hot Austrailian cowboy hitchhiker. Curiousity gets the better of her and she pulls over allowing him into her car.
The idea behind this is sorta thrilling in a dirty way, however, it is a bit unrealistic to imagine crazy mind blowing sex with a strange hitchhiker.
Overall this was ok for me, quick read with a little steam in there. Two and a half stars...not bad for free!!

I guess I have too much trouble suspending disbelief with this one, because I just couldn't buy it that a woman as supposedly self-doubting and inhibited as Sofia is supposed to be would suddenly out of nowhere decide to stop and pick up a hitchhiker, and then go to a motel and do him in the parking lot where anyone who cared to could see them. It just doesn't really jive with me - it's too abrupt. And the sex wasn't even all that hot. But then maybe I'm just being overly critical, since this short-short kind of story by nature doesn't leave much room for developing a story or characters very much. Still, others have done a better job in the same amount of space I think.

Sofia is driving along feeling sorry for herself because of her asshat soon to be ex-husband and low and behold she spots a hitchhiker with a nice backside headed to her town. What happen next is a little revenge…best served HOT not cold.
“There was chemistry between them, there were no emotions tied up in love, no expectations, nothing but enjoying the moment, surrendering to it.” That describes Sofia and Jake in this 2 chapters quickie which I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

I really enjoy a book that allows a woman to get back at a cheating husband. Especially when the soon to be ex is allowed to see everything including the person that actually satisfied the woman since the ex did not care enough to satisfy her.

This was good. I would've liked this better if 'it' had been finalized, but basically a pretty good book. Just a quick fun free read that's something to read. I definitely liked 'his' reaction though. Stammering is definitely what he gets. Missed the train buddy. Enjoy

I found this story hard to believe from the get go. Thiz woman is pretty much depressed over her ex then sees a hot hitchhiker & picks him up? And before the day is thru she's screwing him in the front seat of her car? Think NOT

If anyone wants a quick 15minute read then this is fast paces enough to suit, also really nice to see an older woman/younger man story! :-)
