Initiation, Human And Solar

Rate this book
Initiation, Human and Solarby Alice A. BaileyThe subject of Initiation is one that has a great fascination for thinkers of all schools of thought, and even those who remain sceptical and critical would like to believe that this ultimate attainment is possible. To those who do not believe that such a goal is possible this book is offered for what it may be worth as a formulation of an interesting hypothesis. To those who anticipate such a consummation of all their endeavours, this book is tendered in the hope that it may prove an inspiration and a help.About the AuthorAlice Ann Bailey was born as Alice LaTrobe Bateman, in Manchester, England. She moved to the United States in 1907, where she spent most of her life as a writer and teacher. She wrote on spiritual, occult, astrological, Theosophical, Christian and other religious themes.

Pease note: this is a different author from Alice Bailey.

Alice A. Bailey (1880-1949) was an English esoteric practitioner and writer.
At the age of 35, she entered the Theosophical Society center in Los Angeles (USA), at the Pacific Grove Theosophical Lodge. In 1919, Bailey (39 years old) severed her ties to the Theosophical Society and began to write texts that he claimed were dictated telepathically by a certain "Tibetan," or "D. K. ». She published those texts under the title Human and Solar Initiation. There she made known the existence of the spiritual hierarchy, which Madame Blavatsky had already spread, although not in an orderly way.
She later revealed that the Tibetan D.K. was the master Djwal Khul. She wrote using the teacher's name for 30 years, from 1919 until her death in 1949.

This is A Bailey's 10th book but is recommended as the second to be read probably because like book 9 is quite short.

Unlike book 9 a lot of the book is essentially wasted space. Who really cares how the Solar Angel may develop or our solar system or the planets in it? There are a few gems of informastion but for the most part much of the material is purely for interest rather than something that may help someone develop themselves further. It hints at where someone may get to in a number of lifetimes and how this may happen.

It is wiorth reading for a few of the interesting bits and pieces but they are few and far between.

My first AAB book that I read back in the early 1980s. Outstanding in every respect.

This is where Theosophy left off. I am writing a newer version I call Aquarian Theosophy. Since Alice Bailey is the last one to offer anything credible about the human initiation process, it is archaic and humorous. Human beings want to, so much, be successful in everything they do. It is a part of the consciousness we are. I am excited about offering my book Endless Love to update Theosophy since the Source Consciousness that is animating each and every human being took an initiation at Wesak, 2010 initiating the Age of Aquarius for mankind. New information will be discovered by humankind from our connection to this Source. Rather than an electric future, I'm looking for a hydrogen future. Humanity was created not derived from other forms of creation. All of that will be in my book Endless Love in the near future.
