About the author

Matthew Abram Groening is an American cartoonist, television producer and writer from Portland, Oregon.

Groening is best known as the creator of The Simpsons. He is also the creator of Futurama and the author of the weekly comic strip Life in Hell. Groening distributed Life in Hell in the book corner of Licorice Pizza, a record store in which he worked.

He made his first professional cartoon sale to the avant-garde Wet magazine in 1978. The cartoon is still carried in 250 weekly newspapers.

So there are countless episodes of The Simpsons and trying to find that one you really want to watch can be difficult. Think about it, it is 2016 and they are finishing up their 27th season. I have kids that don't know life without The Simpsons. They grew up watching them, every weekday would be the reruns and for Sunday dinner we would watch the new ones. There has to be at least 400+ episodes. Even a true fan like myself still needs a little help tracking that one episode down. I know what season or around what season it was; so I pull out my handy Simpson's guide. Each volume has several season in it and each season's episode with funny little details to tell you everything you need to know about what happen in said episode. Turn the page and it's the next episode with all the hilarious details. Find the one you're looking for in an instant.
This is a must for all Simpsons fans and an absolute must for those who just like the the animated family. You will always have an episode you call your favorite but there are far too many to remember everything about it. This book will help you find it and many more.

Okay now the book series is starting to get annoying. Notice that they seemed to have put this one out so fast the cover of this book is not even inspired!

They release the third book about more of the same and this is the other book that has only two seasons. Apparently this book series will probably not stop coming out two at a time that they just might come out with approximately eight books at least!

Yeah. That is getting to be too much.

Read this (and the others in the series) a lot as a kid in the period in 5th-6th grade when I was getting into The Simpsons, this book and the others in the same series were necessary reading. Every time I saw a new episode from this period I would go to the book and read up on the episode so I understood the parts that I missed (i.e., all the movie references). It was a good process :)

The Simpsons Beyond Forever! A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family...Still Continued is a comprehensive companion to seasons 11 & 12 of Fox’s hit animated sit-com. Each episode is given 2-4 pages listing the cast and crew credits, a plot summary, trivia, quotes, and artwork. Also included are supporting and one-off characters profiles, as well as sections on the featured couch gags, original songs, and the Mmms and D’ohs of Homer. Some of the trivia gets a little tedious, but overall it does a great job at pointing out all of the call-backs and Easter eggs within the episodes. An ex-cellent compendium of these latter seasons, The Simpsons Beyond Forever! A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family...Still Continued is sure to increase one’s enjoyment of the show.
