Excellent book for every Rory Gallagher fan. It was compiled form numerous interviews by Pete Chrisp. Reading it is as if Gerry is sitting next to you, beer in hand, telling you his life story. An openhearted telling, also about Rory. Must read !

Great stuff. No holds barred account of what it was really like from the musicians point of view. I have been a fan of Rory Gallagher and his band for decades now and loved this book from start to finish though it may have limited appeal if you're not a fan of the music.

I’ve been told more than once that I’m “too young” to even know who Rory Gallagher is, but I do, and I’m glad I do. I love his music, I’ve made it a point to see Band of Friends every time they tour the US, and I devoured this book in a day. It was excellent.
