Laurel Corey has known about her powers since she was a child, but she's been content with being a mediocre witch and running her small bookstore. Until Detective Will Proctor walks through the doors. He's a vampire and her natural enemy. He's also the most beautiful creature she has ever seen. Detective Will Proctor is focused on his job and Laurel Corey's bookstore is the key to solving a horrific case. He should be focused on the murder he's working on and not the beautiful woman behind the counter. He's drawn to her but witches and vampires don't mix. It would be dangerous to get involved with her, but he may not have a choice when the victims keep piling up.
Together, they may be able to find the killer before they attack again. That is if they aren't both killed in the process.
Can Laurel and Will put their nature aside to protect their world from a vicious killer or will their pasts keep them from any future they may have?

I am married to the love of my life and we have two amazing kids. Seriously. Amazing. I have two rescue beagles that keep me on my toes! I have always loved to read and write and received my BA in Journalism many years ago. My favorite genre to read and write are paranormal romances. I believe that love is what makes the world go round and sometimes we all need to escape into a world that's not our reality.
I am a history buff and love to discover my own past, including my Scottish ancestors, the Cameron's. Growing up in the south eastern US, we are surrounded by history and I use this as inspiration for my stories.
I love to travel and explore. As a family, we enjoy hiking, camping and anything outdoors.

LOVE, THE VALENTINE VAMP was a fun paranormal romantic suspense novella that was the perfect length for reading in a single evening on a cozy fall night! 💕💕 Laurel is a witch who works in a bookshop and when a woman is killed and a clue leads back to her store, a vampire detective (Will) comes to ask questions. In this world, vampires and witches do NOT get along, but Will is Mr. Dreamy McHottie, so Laurel is willing to make an exception, even if the head of her coven, Salina, is telling her this is a big no no. The killer sends emails signed “Love, the Valentine Vamp” hence the title. I liked the chemistry between Laurel and Will and I liked them working together to solve the disappearances of women in the area. This is a great novella length romance/mystery that was super cute and I will definitely read more in this series! 5/5 stars.

I could not put this book down! This is a fantastic story with mystery, romance, witches, and vampires. The characters are so easy to like and the storyline has some great twists. I enjoyed this book so much and I have been telling people about it already! A real page-turner to curl up with anytime. I hope Kate James turns this into a series! #HopefullyOptimistic

I loved this paranormal romance!! It had everything I have missed & longed for from the Sookie Stackhouse novels! Romance, suspense, murder, spicy times, and of course vampires & witches! I loved the friendship between Laurel and Missy and LOVED the blossoming relationship between Laurel and Will. Super fun read that can be enjoyed all year round.

Super cute fast read, a cute witch who owns a bookshop, a hot vampire detective, and a serial “unaliver” on the loose. together they’ll have to put a stop to the killings, all while exploring their attraction to each other.

Love, The Valentine Vamp is a really cute paranormal romance. As someone who doesn’t typically read this particular genre, I loved it. It was short and cute. It’s not completely full of smut. It has a great plot. It has mysterious elements to it. It was a quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
