This book is written by the father of forensic science in Singapore in the 1990s. Although Prof Chao wrote in a professional concise, matter of fact tone, I was subconsciously drawn into the world of criminal forensics and his analytical approach towards each case study. A delightful read and a unique gem to Singapore's writing scene
Short descriptions of interesting cases from the career of Singapore's most famous forensic pathologist. Gives you a feel of a very different Singapore where people still drew water from wells, and yet where human passions, good and bad, remain just the same.
Nothing fiction about this one. All words practical. And I like it that way. Each case is written and explained so comprehensively, I became more interested in the business of forensic and pathology. Perhaps it is occupational hazard, I was never interested in crime until I started writing crime thriller. This book is definitely a good read for that very purpose.
interesting insight to forensic science in Singapore and another viewpoint on the nature of forensic work. However, I lament the too short book because it was really interesting, but i guess there will never be another book from Prof Chao
A rare glimpse into the world of forensic science illuminated by the brilliance of Prof Chao. For anyone into forensics, this good book will fuel your passion.
