Titus Ray Thrillers #9

Five Steps Beyond

Rate this book
CIA operative Titus Ray took five steps. But not just any steps.
They were five steps beyond his expectations, five steps beyond his experience, five steps beyond his past.

He took five steps beyond his expectations . . .
When Titus is summoned to the White House, he expects to be offered a Top Secret assignment. What he doesn’t expect is where that assignment will take him, and how he’ll survive if he accepts it.

He took five steps beyond his experience . . .
Even though Titus has been through a lot in his twenty-year career with the Agency, he’s never had to learn about uranium enrichment, he’s never had his appearance altered, he’s never had to be a marriage counselor.

He took five steps beyond his past . . .
Operation Strike Out finds Titus revisiting his past to prevent the Iranians from developing a nuclear weapon to annihilate Israel. When he discovers the tentacles of his past are reaching into his present, seeking to destroy his future, he realizes he has to act quickly.

Will his prayers be answered in time or has his time come to an end?

I really enjoyed this book so much. Each book in this series is so enjoyable, they are all must reads for me. I love the Titus Ray character. I listened to the audio of this book and I really enjoy the narrator so much. He does such a great job portraying the Titus Ray character and narrating the story . Another great novel March 22, 2023

Titus Ray thrillers never disappoint! Luana's detailed research never cease to amaze me. She has the ability to draw you into the story and next thing you know you are there with the characters emmerised in the story leaving you hate turning to the last page but eagerly waiting in anticipation for the next novel. Fast paced with the faith Titus has in his relationship with God interwoven in the story line.

Always a great read, never a boring one.

I started reading Christian based novels several years ago. I thought the best author was Joel Rosenberg. I was wrong, Luana is as good as Joel.

Excellent thriller

This book has all the elements for a good read. Titus Ray is on another assignment that takes him back to Iraq, which certainly had many bad memories of almost dying. As he works out his new found faith, he tries to keep a tight leash on his temper. He takes 5 steps into Operation Strie Out.

Excellent novel

This is a great Christian thriller! I've read the whole series and I think the books keep getting better! Titus has to go back to Tehran in this book. A scary proposition since he barely escaped with his life the last time!

always a pleasure to read a Titus Ray book

I love how Titis has grown into his faith and how he honors JESUS with his life. If more authors wrote like Launa, I’d never put down my phone!

Back in Tehran

What could be more dangerous for Titus Ray than to return to Tehran on a mission after almost losing his life there two years prior? This time he is charged with getting a flash drive from a nuclear scientist that holds info on Iran's uranium enrichment program that would enable them to create a nuclear weapon. On the way he comes face-to-face with the man charged with finding & killing him two years ago. I hope we don't have to wait long for the next adventure!

Another home run!

Ehrlich's books are a must buy for me. Her stories are fast paced and engaging. And her characters are so vivid they seem like acquaintances, not fictional characters. If you like spy stories Titus Ray is your man! The sprinkling of Christian references and light romance makes me like her clean stories even more.

Wow! Ehrlich keeps pulling together believable plots with plenty of plot twists for good old Titus Ray! This one did not disappoint!! I read it way too fast and now I have to wait another year for the next one! Be sure to start at the beginning of the series - it's worth reading them in order.

Another good read about Titus Ray. The President offers him an assignment that requires him to go back to Iran, the very county he had to escape from when he was undercover on one of his earlier assignments which led him to accepting Christ as his Savior.
Knowing the risks that he may be recognized and captured, will Titus accept the assignment, go into Iran, and get out safely in one piece? This was a great clean read with some heightened suspense.

great read

I love Titus Ray and his history. Our author brings such a refreshing approach to this genre and her books get me hooked from page one. This was no exception. Titus lays it on the line because his country is in danger and he’s the guy who can get the job done. You won’t regret reading his story!

The story begins on a happy note: Titus & his wife are celebrating the adoption of Eleanor. But a phone call about a meeting with the president of the U.S. damps the joy. Then he's faced with returning to a country where his cover was blown & he was never to enter again. Lots of other threatening things also occur. I especially enjoyed listening to Mr. Newman's voice. He is very good at changing his inflections to fit the many characters so I know who the person is easily. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I choose to write this review.

Tehran? Again?
This book is the ninth segment of the exciting Titus Ray spy thriller series. In this episode, he is called back to Tehran where there is a price on his head! This book has a tense plot and is very exciting. It is a real page-turner. As with all of this author's books, this is a clean story. There is no foul language, no sex, no gore, and little violence. The plot is plausible and tight! I have been binge-reading this series and now must wait for book ten to be released. So entertaining!

Riveting

Gut twisting anxiety as you read about Titus and Raina as they enter Iran disguised as a reporter and photographer for an Iraqi newspaper. Their mission to get proof of Iran’s nuclear advancement is high stress, especially when Titus is recognized. Enjoy this read but you might have to stop and go for a walk occasionally to relax the tension.

Another great book in the Titus Ray series. A dangerous mission that takes him back to Iran where he barely escaped as this series started. Is he crazy to accept this assignment? You be the judge.

Love this series & everything else Luanda Enrich has written!

Return to Tehran

Titus was going back to Tehran. Was he crazy, but when the President asked him he said yes. Can he complete his mission and get out? Only God knows and Titus was on His side.

I really love how Titus grows and gets more comfortable sharing his faith with others. I did get rather nervous for him in this book as his situation wasn’t exactly relaxing. But I’m glad he broke the rules in one instance. I’m sure it meant a lot to everyone.

I appreciate the writer's cutting down on all the descriptive narrative of earlier books. Less is definitely more when the reader is absorbing a new location, nation, culture, and intrigue. Looking forward to the next in the series. Even Olivia is mellowing a bit!

Well worth reading, but nothing outstanding. In this installment of the series, Titus returns to Iran to obtain data from a nuclear scientist. You'll want to read the entire series, including the prequel (#0.5), to get the most out of this book.
