About the author

Þórey studied law at the University of Iceland, before getting her BA in English and English Literature from the same university. She also has a teaching qualification. She has worked at Statistics Iceland, on the radio and taught languages and literature, before becoming an author and translator.
Her first book for teenagers, Aldrei aftur (Never Again), came out in 1993. Her third book won the Icelandic Children's Book Prize in 1995.
