Antropologia della performance

Tema dominante del volume è il dramma sociale, il dramma del vivere quale fonte di tutte le pratiche performative espressive. L'autore utilizza la performance come griglia interpretativa per penetrare quelle che chiama le fenomenologie "liminoidi", ossia le fasi di passaggio da situazioni sociali e culturali definite ad altre aggregazioni e fornire così una lettura delle dinamiche sociali. Spazia dal teatro giapponese No al carnevale brasiliano, dalle pratiche cerimoniali dell'Umbanda alle performance etnografiche recitate dai suoi studenti dell'università della Virginia. L'ultima parte del volume tenta un innesto tra neurobiologia e antropologia, per coniugare reciprocamente processi mentali e processi culturali.

Victor Witter Turner was a British cultural anthropologist best known for his work on symbols, rituals, and rites of passage. His work, along with that of Clifford Geertz and others, is often referred to as symbolic and interpretive anthropology.

Era bueno... pero un poco cabezon... con palabras descriptivas acerca de ritos y rituales...pero con palabras grandes complicadas y que NO aparecen ni si quiera en el diccionario ingles ingles!!!

DEspues de leerlo en 1 fin de semana y analizarlo y hacer una presentacion del mismo...puedo decir que es del tipo de libro que hacen sentido 2 anios despues de haberlo leido...

En todo caso.. es muy interesante...
