This is an ambitious book, filled with photos and descriptions of styles from around the world. Laid out in a similar fashion to a "Guinness Book Of World Records." The styles that are spotlighted seem to be favored by the author or maybe had easier access. Many other important styles are given short shrift. That was a major disappointment and therein lies the the shortcoming of this book.
Obviously, the author needed help from a variety of masters in a variety of styles, speaking many different languages. Some styles would not be so interested in sharing their knowledge and that could have made it more difficult.

Thumbs up for bringing to my attention some styles I had never heard of. Thumbs down for too brief descriptions of some styles that the author admits are a majorette of that region.
