A very different type of book to read and enjoy.

This story might leave you wondering could a big company go this far or maybe even more. This shows you some big companies would due what they feel is ok to due what they want . Genetic Engineering maybe more common then what we know , hopefully they won't make things worse . The author did a good job with the book , they keep you reading

Go Stanley!

This story shows much of humanity in less than caring. I was left with a strong reaction to a stellar piece of fiction. It was ‘go Stanley’ all the way. I think it would be impossible to read and not find feelings for this gorgeous hero orangutan!

Stanley (Zero-Point Awakening)

As ever when adult humans are compared and contrasted with another species, this time a genetically enhanced Orang-Utan, humans come across as more corrupt, more devious and highly lacking morality wise. The only basically decent humans in the whole story are Maddie, an eight year old girl and Cooper whom Stanley thinks of as a friend and even he (Cooper) is singularly deficient in empathy.
This is a starter/prequel to ZZ Adams’ Zero-Point Awakening series and probably serves best being read before embarking upon the series.

Love the story, but...

I love the relationship that Stanley developed with his "human apes." And how others misunderstood and viewed him as a savage beast.

Here is the "but" part.

Stanley was referenced as an orangutan, but the book cover looks more like a chimp.

Wonderful character is Stanley, an orang-utan used in experiments.
An extreme risk to save Stanley brings his humanity to the fore and jeopardises his future.
An unexpected twist in this ever moving tale of Stanley.

A very intriguing and different story.

An intriguing concept and also well written. I was not sure about the direction of the storyline in the early part of the book but that resolved itself as the story unfolds into a startling climax.
Read and enjoy.
