This book attempts to answer the question many Christian wives have about submission to their husbands, specifically around the topic of a strong-willed wife. It does a great job explaining God's intention for marriage and why submission is such an important part of that. It leaves no doubt in your mind that submission is crucial to a successful marriage. The examples from real couples are relatable and great at understanding the dynamic that goes on in a marriage with a strong-willed wife and also to see that a strong-willed wife can change to learn to be submissive without losing her personality. My only gripe with the book is that you have to wait to the last chapter to learn techniques of actually how a strong-willed wife learns to be submissive. I would have liked to see half of the book on that more practical topic.

I ordered and read this book after hearing Debbie Cherry on a radio program. She challenged my thoughts on submission "as is fitting unto the Lord" in a day and age when women are on the rampage rise. She really pointed out to me how I was dishonoring God by dismissing so much of my husband.

Excellent book! Dr Cherry is a creative author. I found myself laughing out loud when she addressed specific topics and areas I need to improve on that I would normally feel defensive about.
