Solve Your Problems: The Birbal Way

Rate this book
Unravelling in the Court of Akbar, the well-known Birbal stories illustrate the minister’s sagacity and problem-solving acumen. Today it has become trendy to identify various management and leadership styles with historical and mythical personalities such as Attila the Hun, Winnie the Pooh, Mulla Nasiruddin, Confucius and Jesus Christ, and with philosophical systems and religious books like Zen, Taoism, the Kabballah, the Bible, the Bhagawad Gita and Sufism. Against this backdrop, the authors thought it would be appropriate to unveil the managerial wisdom and problem-solving principles that Birbal’s stories embody.

Must Read Stories
I've heard most of the stories in this book through my father when I was in childhood. I'm glad to reread these stories through this book.

The must read for all those in the decision making level @ corporate.

Most of the times the solutions of BIRBAL are not really out-of-box, it is just seems so, because no other person has thought in from that angle.

The acronym BIRBAL-Begin, Investigate, Relate, Balance, Apply, Link is just too handy as a first step in decision making/problem solving.
