About the author

John Hareas is an experienced and celebrated NBA author, having compiled the official 2004 NBA Championships book Blue Collar Champions, as well as other NBA finals/championship retrospectives in other years. He has written numerous books about the NBA and its greatest players. His titles include NBA's Greatest, NBA Reader, Basketball, All-Star Allen Iverson, NBA Slam, and many other great NBA books.

This is a really good book because I've learned stuff about basketball I never knew.I am almost done with this book i just need one more page to finish this great book so i dont want to spoil it so go and find this book and read it.

This book is good if you wanna learn about basketball. It is also good if you wanna know the history about the sport. it tells you about the legends in the game. The way it explains the the game is awesome. i even play basketball and it told me some things i didn't know. All in all it is a very good book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes basketball.

I currently just finished one of the eyewitness books called "Basketball". This book talks about the history of basketball and the National basketball association. This books talks about James Naismith who was the inventor of basketball. His inspiration came from a cold new England winter in 1891 were he had to create a game indoor for college students. The National basketball association came in 1990. The score board came favorite dayo keep track of score and time. The first basketball shoe came out in 1903 for better traction on a hardwood floor. During time basketball has improved to great players, to fancy uniforms to better equipment.
This book is a really great book and I recommend this book to all basketball players. The reasons why I recommend this book to basketball players is because you get a clear understanding of the game and how far it progressed over the years. Also questions I have for the author is how many teams were there in the NBA when it first stared. Also what year did the NBA start to pay players. I really enjoyed this book , this is one of my favorite basketball books.

Slam dunk! If you may not know what that is then read this book. This is a nonfiction book that has every answer to your questions about basketball. This book starts off with the history of basketball it talks about the times of Micheal Jordan to the time of Lebron James. This book has every single rule about the sport and it also talks about the calls when u do something that is not allowed. It also talks about the uniform the players have to wear and also about the expectations of being on a team. One interesting fact that intrigued me was that some players got drafted straight from high school because of their amazing skills. If you want to know more about basketball then read this book

This book is one of my favorite books. This book teaches you the inside and outside of the Nba. My favorite Nba player lebron James is on the cover and it shows that he is a great player and that he can overcome anything to be the best. This book tells you everything about basketball, the calls, shoes, balls, players, and even about the refs, and how it was started.

This book is about the history of basketball and the inventor. Baseball was invented by a Canadian, but it is not a Canadian sport. Also, the book shows photos and it is has amazing photographs. This book tells the whole story, from James Naismith's nailing a peach basket to the wall of a local gym for the first informal game, to stories about basketball's superstars of today.

It was a good book if you want to learn about about basketball on how it started to now. It gives info about it's beginnings, when the NBA started, the basketball itself, and many more.

This was a nice nonfiction book, I like how the book was chronologically organized and talked about the life of basketball. This book was interesting and introduced me to more multiple things about basketball. This book affected me by giving me more information about basketball such as Basketball being played with soccer balls, Balls were only brown but like WNBA the balls are multi-colored. Also, Basketballs hoops were made out of peach baskets. Over the time basketball has changed and became better for the new generation.
