Once a mere lab assistant, Erin Shay is thrilled over her new promotion. The curvaceous, brainy, somewhat straightlaced lady has been placed in charge of an important new research testing a serum specially designed to substantially prolong a couple's lovemaking. With scientists Jay and Laura off on their honeymoon, Erin's been left alone in the lab . . . with her hard-bodied new assistant, Kale Alexander, a sexy stud who has "playboy" written all over him. Erin's never even had a one-night stand—but the project's success depends upon her playing the wild, wanton bad-girl to red-hot Casanova Kale. Since she's already learned the perils of leaving her heart too open to heartbreak, this time she'll be the one calling the shots. Her bad-boy partner is going to know from the git-go that this will be a brief sex-only affair—hot, torrid, steamy love in the interests of science . . . with absolutely no strings attached. But when the loving is this deliciously hot, who in her right mind wouldn't want to prolong it?
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cathryn Fox is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. Cathryn lives in beautiful Nova Scotia with her husband, who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. When not writing, Cathryn can be found Skyping with her son living in Seattle (could he have moved any farther away?) shopping with her daughter in the city, watching a big action flick with her husband, or hanging out and laughing with friends.
The whole thing felt rushed. I read the first one awhile ago, but it seemed like more attention was given to their actual jobs/reason for working together.
The romance was definitely rushed. There was a little bit of conflict thrown in, but even that was quickly taken care of and brushed aside.
Not Cathryn Fox's best work. This was some of the most basic writing, with dialogue limited to "I'm into simple, casual, uncomplicated sex", "Kale is a playboy" or "I'm into casual sex. Just sex." OK, we got that; just don’t repeat it every other page.
damn . that was really anti-climatic. *sigh* the ending was good. the happy together kind. the start was really very enticing that you would see through the book, but really the confrontation was like over in like *bam!* . well it was an ok read :)
No sé cómo pero lo tenía entre mis ebooks. Total que al final no he podido resistir echarle un vistazo a la segunda saga de una trilogía erótica cuyos tomos se pueden leer por separado sin ningún problema... ;)
It has been a little while since I read this series but as I recall it was a yummy smexy read. Loads of steam to really warm a gal up!! Quick and light reading with all sorts of hot and heavy action!!
Totally enjoyed this book although we all know that a lab would never allow the scientists to try products on themselves it was a thrill to enjoy the ride of this book. Both Erin's as well as Kale's characters were really well thought out, and you fell in love with both. It was definitely STEAMY!
