You never really know where life will take you. You might have an idea, but life in the end has its plans for you. Saint-John Perse's prose poem Winds is a symbol of this uncontrollable life and the howling winds it releases upon us. We're like people on a boat, hoping the winds would be gentle with us. In this poem, there is a grand evocative gesture to our life on Earth, all those who passed by it, all those who are, and all those who will pass. It is a good example of prose poetry and gets my recommendation.
