Lisa Bradley Godward has loved reading and writing since grade school.
Her very first "novel" was the last few pages of a horse-riding story, numbered optimistically at about 300 pages--prophetic of her first published work: Abby Wize - AWAY.
Mrs. Bradley counts herself fortunate to be an upper-level horse whispering student in the Parelli method, and keeps two horses on 10 acres in Central Arizona.
One of her grandest adventures was touring the western one-third of the US in her RV, "Ebenezer," and finding out first-hand the goodwill and peaceful leanings of many hundreds of customers, many of whom became delighted fans.
She reads many genres, including a large helping of invention and futuristic magazines.
Past interests and jobs include photography (she photographed her own book covers and PowerPoint slides), art, nature, environment, diet and nutrition, science and science fiction, teaching and learning, homebuilt and low-tech construction, and spirituality. In October 2017, Lisa filmed a Concept Reel based on the first half of "Book A." It won a "Finalist" laurel at the Auckland (NZ) International Film Festival and will be used to find financing to film short video episodes of the entire Book A.

This book was such a soothing balm to my aching soul. With so much injustice happening in the world, it was a respite to turn to the pages of this book. This vision of a "future Golden Age" is enchanting, magical, and more importantly, helps to renew hope in the reader for the possibilities of the future-- especially if we work for it now. Every young person should read this, and every adult should study it, to determine how they can begin to realize some of its potential now.
Thank you, Lisa. My heart was aching from the turmoil in our country and the world. This lovely story really made me realize the destination is worth the journey. No matter how difficult, it will be worth it. I love your joke near the end - that Christians pray for God's Kingdom on Earth and imagine it arriving full-blown, while Baha'is pray for that same Kingdom and receive a DIY kit. 😄
This book is perfect for the spiritually curious people in your life. It shows spiritual growth in action in Abby who grows from a small soul afraid of her own shadow --and her mother's to someone who sees a glimpse of a better world in the future. Because of this encounter with a spiritual future world, she begins to live in a larger universe in the present.
I loved the way the author gave us glimpses of how the future could be. I also enjoyed the main character's frustration on her return to the present and not finding things as advanced as she thought they might be among certain groups of people.
I loved this book about a girl who went to the future and discovered how beautiful life is in the golden age. It would be so wonderful to be alive during that time, and gave me many ideas of how life might be. Wonderfully thought out and written.
