Dell's the kid in school you don't notice. He's the kid who's dad disappears without a trace, who's mother takes off for weeks at a time, whose grandfather dies from mysterious illnesses. All that changes the day he saves the new kid from town bullies. Suddenly, he is defended by aliens, saved by telepathic crows and falling through an intergalactic portal. But when Dell discovers he has a telepathic connection to Awen, he learns the planet is alive. She is alive and in pain. Constantly tortured by the portal's energy drain, she begs Dell to save her by destroying them. She bestows upon him the ability to control her elements: Soil, Air, Water and Fire. Using the power of Awen's elements and aided by the yellow squirrel-like creature, Squirrel, he must defy the planet's inhabitants and destroy the portals, uncover the mystery of who wants control of the wormholes and find his father - before he is killed.
