I read both the original web novel version and the light novel (fan translations of both - Seven Seas, get on bringing this one over already!) and have to say I was utterly charmed by it. The main characters have so much chemistry and personality, and the fact that it reminds me a lot of one of my first romances certainly doesn't hurt. I'm excited to see where this goes.
If I had to pick I think I liked the web novel version a little better. The cut scenes, while ultimately not important to the plot, really do add a lot of texture to the story and characters that I feel goes missing in the more streamlined LN version. But really you can't go wrong either way.
Also looking forward to the anime, I hope it does it justice.

Wholesome romance book. Genuine otaku connection between characters. Pretty funny too (spoiler: that part is less emphasized as it goes on)
