This just keeps getting better and better and I feel like I am getting really impatient because i just keep reading. I don't realize until after I have read the book that I need to update my status on Goodreads! Shame on me! Anyway, I loved this volume a lot and I am going to have another review for Volume 10 soon!
This is about a girl named Misaki who is the school president of Seika High. She has a part time job as a maid in a cafe in order to support her family. She wants this to be kept a secret but one day Usui, on of the most popular boys from her school, finds out she is a maid. He hasn't left her side ever since he found this out and the two went on crazy adventures and slowly open up to each other!
Usui and Misaki's relationship gives me the chills :) (In a good way!)
Whenever I read about these two and the things they go through, it makes me laugh, cry and happy. I sometimes yell into my tablet, saying I wish they would confess to each other. But their relationship is progressing really well and it makes me so happy. But there are a few things that are bothering me and I want to get it out of my chest.
The thing that is bothering me the most is the fact that we don't know that much about Usui. It really bothers me and I already mentioned this before. I just wish we learned more about his character. I feel like Misaki is the only one who is opening up. Usui is the complete opposite, he is so sweet but I want to know more about him. Who is he? Where did he come from? Why is he so rich? Is he secretly a prince or something?
Shintani is an amazing character and I am growing to like him so much! Kanou is so awesome and I am glad that he is slowly getting used to company. Sakura is a great friend along with the manager of the cafe. I loved all of the different characters! Yukimaru is the best and Aoi-chan too!
I really hope we learn more about Usui and that is what I am waiting for. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good manga that messes with your feelings. I also recommend this to anyone who has watched the anime and wants more of the characters! I love this so much and I hope you do too!
Misaki reclaims the position as the president of the student council beating Kanou by only 1 point. Kanou, because of the election, starts to have confidence in himself and I like that he's beginning to become more friendly and closer to girls.
My heart also breaks for Shintani. 3 Even though he already knew that Misaki likes Usui, he still doesn't want to give up and is willing to wait for Misaki, hoping that one day her feelings would change. It's really sad. :'( On the other hand, Usui is finally back after getting a restraining order from Misaki during the campaign period. Lol.
It continues with Misaki's birthday celebration at a karaoke bar and her date with Usui for the first time. Usui is really sweet and cute and romantic and sweet and perfect! I would love to have a boyfriend like him. And as he said, he doesn't intend to let Ayuzawa runaway from him. Kyaaaa! :")
This volume covers the conclusion of the class/school president campaign (including the winner) before shifting focus to a certain maid's birthday and what that entails ;D
Not a bad volume overall, but I wasn't as impressed by this one as I have some of the previous ones. Possibly because there wasn't so much comedy in this volume?
Chapter notes below for reference: (spoiler heavy)
*Review of Volumes 7-9* I'm gonna stop here for now. I've been skimming more and more, skipping parts that don't have Usui and Misaki together. I haven't been terribly invested in the side characters or Misaki's reign of terror except for that one maid with some serious beef with Misaki's wishy washy attitude. I mean respect honestly. The couple content I do enjoy, but even their dynamic is not my favorite. I mean Usui is constantly pushing Misaki and only recently did both Misaki and Usui calm down a little, but these uncomfortable moments still pop up. On top of that, Hinata is part of a love triangle, which I know will tick me off to no end. Will I continue this later? I would consider it.
Misaki: The end of the student council election is drawing near and when Misaki's birthday rolls around, her Maid Latte family and Usui are determined to treat her to a time she'll never forget! And she and Usui grow even closer on her actual birthday...
Usui: He's still as silly and sweet as ever, and you can tell he loves Misaki.
Tora: Oooh, Tora is back and up to his tricks again...what does he have in store for us?
THE BAD
The seniors; these guys were jerks to Kanou and the girls.... and they had the nerve to talk back to Misaki? Like.... have you boys learned nothing?

The beginning of this volume is focused on the students council's election. Misaki has to compete with Kanou. He was chosen as the representative from the first grade. Well, so many methods that being used on the process. Well, actually Kanou is forced to participate but at the end, he knows why he could get interest to being the student pres.
Then, once again, there is some suspicious thing from Usui. How is exactly the relationship between him and the Miyabigaoka's student pres? He's really suspicious until now.. So many secret about Usui and it's a little bit irritating... Sigh.

I've never made it past volume 6? Maybe 8? And I finally got my hands on every single issue so I did a mass re-read/catch up finally... So this is a review for the series as a whole. This was SO funny. I loved the relationship that Misa and Usui had, and the friendships that they all had with some of the other characters.
I enjoyed getting to watch them all grow and learn about themselves. There were a few matchups at the end that didn't really make any sense to me. But other than that this was a highly enjoyable series, and I can't wait to re-re-read it. (and then maybe update each review with volume specific notes)
The most curious part was igarashi n usui were talking in conversation whom I was curious what they talking about. Usui n misaki eat Pocky game so cute n adorable together.I feel bad for shintani n made me sad to see him even though he knows misaki feelings n hope he find happiness.oh yeah celebrate misaki birthday advance before her real birthday are coming. Maid -sama employees with misaki, usui n Aoi joined karaoke, giving presents n have fun.I wondered why usui is hiding something even misaki noticed or not.

NO ANIME CONTENT NO ANIME CONTENT Kanou has really grown as a character, I'm calling him becoming the president next year. Pocky scene made my soul leave my body.... This volume was so beautiful...Finally a date~! This is the chapter the anime got its ED sequence. Anyhow, it was so cute and Usui & Misa are meant to be...
I wasn’t surprised that to Misaki even though she told Usui her feelings were mutual that she wouldn’t consider them to be dating. She really needs to communicate with Usui. But the pocky game! And them spending her birthday together was cute.
