I was 5 when this happened. I lived in hendersonville and was lucky enough for my house to be on a hill. However my neighbors house and my elementary school was flooded severally. I didn't understand what happened and didn't really care to check. But reading this book has made me appreciate the Tennesseean spirit of volunteering. It honestly makes me want to volunteer. Its a 5 star for documenting the heart of Tennesseeans.
