There's a nice conversational tone to the writing style and I like that it helps debunk fear-fueled myths, which instead encourages young readers to develop an appreciation for ALL sea life, even the ocean's scariest looking animals! Everyone has a place and purpose! A few slight inaccuracies though, such as "whaling has come to a standstill"... it may have been outlawed but video footage by researchers and activists has since revealed that, to some degree, there is still illegal whaling going on in the world.
