I found a copy of this yesterday at the op shop, and had to buy it. My sister and I read this many times as a child, and the illustrations brought back a massive wave of nostalgia for me. Some of the expressions are very odd, but it is still a beautiful little book, and this edition printed the year I was born too.

Clever late about a boy who is upset with the wind who takes the flour the boy and his mother need to live on. When he confronts the wind the wind gives him some magical belongings, but are each stolen by a cunning innkeeper. This tale is very well told and the illustrations by Troy Howell are beautiful! This is so far the best picture book I've read this month. I really wish I'd known about it before. My rating - 5/5

Young Peter uses evidence to reach a conclusion. Then he has the opportunity to test his ideas. Justice was served. I'd say this story supports scientific thinking as well as building legal arguments.

As a child, I loved tales such as this one.

I'm not sure where we got this book, I feel like tonight was the first time I'd ever read it. We liked it a lot, good story, well-told and simple with nice illustrations.
