Book one!
Four brothers...identical..gorgeous...woo hoo!
Four storm Lord's who all came to earth to find their soul mates and to save their world. A good beginning to this series and although rushed a bit...am enjoying the characters.

la lectura ha sido bastante entretenida, aunq por lo corta se ha quedado bastante en el tintero, y la parte erotica toma demasiada importancia por sobre la trama pero en definitiva me ha picado la curiosidad, es probable q lea los otros solo por saber en q termina la cosa.

I actually read the updated version of this book, released in 2023. Great read, which I thoroughly enjoyed. love the characters and interesting storyline, continued over 5 books.

The Fire Within by Marie Harte
Darius Storm is the eldest of the Royal Four. Four identical quadruplet brother of royal blood who each have the own unique elemental power and are one day destined to rule and protect their home land of Tanselm.
Evil has set its sights on Tanselm and the death of the royal four to end their reign over the land. Thrust into the parallel realm of earth to escape death the Royal Four must find their Affai (their beloved) to strengthen them against the advancing enemy or Tanselm will fall to the 'Sin Garu.
Darius is not happy about being torn away from his home and not be able to protect his family or his home land and doubts any of the women in this realm will have the power to tame his fire that is until he finds himself in the basement of a club with Samantha Brooks.

I'm a little underwhelmed by this story. Okay, not a little, a lot. I almost put it down entirely after the completely annoying info-dump that was the first chapter. (And perhaps, in all fairness to the author, who has written other books I've enjoyed, I am just coming off of reading the completely awesome "Tempting Danger" by Wilks.)

Each seems to have an ego, a temper, a short fuse. And with the brevity of the story, everything just came out cheesy and bad. (And again, perhaps, in all fairness to the author, this book is a little dated for PNR, and expectations for storytelling has changed.)
Perhaps not. I do not think I will be continuing with this series any time soon.

This was a really cute story. The characters were all great and the plot and romance was amazing. They were all evenly balanced out! I just love that about a story! Darius is one of four brothers and he is a fire prince....which means he controls the element of fire. He has to find his bride before his kingdom is taken over. He finds everything he hopes for in Samantha.
She is a strong and very funny woman. She takes Darius to incredible heights with her string will. I love their relationship. In the beginning, they had an instant connection and from there their love just bloomed!
I can't wait to read the other books, especially since they are about the other brothers! If you like hot guys and sexy romance, read this book you will love it! ;)

'Ok' pretty much sums up how I rate this book. Nothing really stood out for me. BUT I have to note that this was written back in 2005 and likely this was new material back then... it just didn't translate for me now.
(I should also note that this has been waiting for me to read since Aug 2011, so I procrastinated for three+ years as well ;)

This was a short well written paranormal romance. In this first book of the Storm Lord series there are four princes who each control an element (fire, earth, air & water) that are sent to earth to find their affai (wife). They are apparently much more powerful with the help of their wives and they will need the power to defend their home world from the evil trying to destroy it.

Darius's fiery and tempestous nature is no match for when Samantha enters his life. He very quickly realizes just what she means to him, and possibly to his people, but will he be able to convince her to take a chance.

So short but intense. I wanted more from the story. 4 Storm lords and a world to explore. I hope till the end of the series I will get more.
