People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.

My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.

Being that my momma’s families were descendents of the original English speaking southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.

Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.

I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.

Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.

Read this book because of the cover will not lie! Started off like any regular book then got really weird!
I mean they are all into her... No pun intended, oh who am I kidding here pun is totally intended.
Now get this story is holy cow crazy!
Anna is virgin ( now how is this going to work I ask myself) well it was sorta hot but was written weirdly how they all got together with her.
This is just mostly smut and with some drama enforcer-stalker included into story. So if you are into the whole ménage thing go ahead give this story a try it's not bad.
Not really my thing.
At least this book was properly indicated as a ménage story. I knew what I was reading.
Just had to give it a try.
Done that now moving on to something else.
Safety on this book is out the window here cause like three guys here.
They are faithful to their ménage situation heroes are all very experienced and have shared a woman in their past. No OW/OM drama.
Forgot to mention I listen to the audio version of this book also I got it for a 1 $ more as I bought this book.
I thought I would enjoy the audio better than the book but I enjoyed the ebook much more than the audio.

Not sure how to review this book. It's a bit ridiculous but I'm loving ménage stories right. There is some good chemistry between the characters. And while Anna seems a little silly, the story isn't flat or dull. The heroes are delish...masculine, protective, loving; all good stuff and the reason I enjoyed the story despite it's silliness.

This was a great surprise. New author for me and I really liked this one. Fast paced and easy to read. It had a interesting storyline with a group of characters that unfolded as the story unfolded. It is a menage story which I think was done tastefully and the scenes were very hot and descriptive. Great read and I will read ore for sure!!

The only reason this got 2 stars instead of 1 was because I actually finished it. If you like a 3/4 book length lead up and then suddenly the shy, virgin, emotionally and physically abused h is taken it anally in a three way without any lube several times a night then enjoy what reads like a penthouse readers fantasy.

Lea’s Review:

For the Love of Anna is a beautiful love story written by the very talented Dixie Lynn Dwyer. In this story we meet a young woman narrowly escaping the horrors of her past to find her future in a most unusual and unforeseen situation.

With her very life at stake, Anna narrowly escapes the city and flees to the home of her only friend. Stacy has been completely in the dark about the dreadful situations Anna has been dealing with and welcomes Anna into her home with open arms. Stacy lives on a huge ranch with her two husbands and their three cousins. Concerned that trouble from her past may follow her, Anna refuses to consider putting her friend at risk by staying too long and decides it will be safe to stay only until she heals from her injuries and can earn enough money to move on. Ben, Wyatt and Charlie have a hunch that Anna may be just the woman they have been waiting all their lives to find. They hope to find a way to convince her to stay put.

The characters in For the Love of Anna are well developed and interesting. Stacy is very convincing as a best friend who will do anything within her power to keep her friend safe.
Ben, Wyatt and Charlie each have an intriguing back story that makes them relatable and also makes it easier to understand Anna’s attraction to them, as well as theirs for her. The elderly town doctor, the restaurant owners and the other people of the town represent that small town dream of people pulling together and watching out for one another. Pearl may not be perfect, but it would be a wonderful place to live.

This is an impressively enjoyable book. The writing flows easily and the story order and development make sense. While there is angst in the story, it is not over the top. This is, at its core, a love story in which the four main characters all have to overcoming some sort of adversity in their lives to be in the position to be open to the passion and devotion of the long lasting love they all desire.

Having read Dixie Lynn Dwyer previously, I expected to like this book. However, I was not prepared for it to touch my heart the way it did. Anna’s courage in being determined to leave the past behind, to release attachments to negative and difficult things and refuse to use those negative things as an excuse for stagnation serve as an amazing example of a courageous and victorious way to live.

For the Love of Anna will be enjoyed by all who appreciate stories of overcoming adversity and finding true love, even when love looks a bit different than one might have expected.

I liked the premise of this book, there was a good story in here somewhere but it never came together for me. I think timeline wise, this book would work, but since it really glossed over some parts where the h was healing, it seemed like insta-love and came of as everything being rushed. The other thing I noticed was that the sex scenes were okay, but I found myself kind of skipping over them. This could be because I had a lot going on while I was reading today, but usually the sex scenes are my favorite part and these didn't rev my engine at all. My other issue - well more of a suggestion really is that the town of Pearl sounds like a quirky little town that would have some awesomely colorful characters. Unfortunately, the town never came alive for me and the town is what the series is named after.

One more thing that is a huge pet peeve of mine. I'm from the South and I say Y'all a lot. Y'all is plural. When addressing one person, we say "you", two or more people, we say y'all. If you are addressing just one person and say Y'all, unless you are including an absent partner, everyone is going to know that you are not Southern and you're doing a terrible job at faking it. Unfortunately this book was set in Texas. Y'all was used incorrectly several times. It was kind of a nightmare read for me based on that alone. It threw me out of the story every time.

When her mother died, Anna promised that she would take care of her father, even though he was abusive, drunk, and did not show a grain of feelings towards her. When her father tries to sell her into prostitution, it is the last straw. Barely escaping with her life, Anna flees to Pearl to her only friend Stacey, until she can recover.

Wyatt, Charlie, and Ben Cantrell are the cousins to Stacey's men and take an automatic interest in Anna. Not only do they want to protect her, the think she is the one they have been waiting for. Her innocence and fear towards men have them treading slowly as she heals from the beatings she arrived in town with, each one falls deeper for Anna as she begins to embrace the chance of true happiness.

This was a reread for me but my rating still stands. I like this story, it is a bit rough but I think the pacing is perfect and each of the Cantrell men are so different that you can't pick a favorite. Ben is the playboy, Wyatt is the stern Sheriff, and Charlie is the tender soul. Hope she writes more in this series.

**Reread to complete series, still a fantastic read Ben is an instant favorite with his naughty boy performance.

READ 2ND BOOK FIRST THEN THIS ONE. not sure why they are the wrong way round but read Stacy story 1st then Anna. This book is good. The story is darker then I thought it would be. Anna finds gangster in her apartment she shares with her father, demanding money they don't have. Her father turns up and after some debate about payment they threaten to take Anna and use her to make payment back. Through all this Anna is hoping her father comes thro and saves her. Instead he say they can have her to pay the debt. Anna escapes to pearl and try's to start her life again but nothing runs smoothly and thugs come after her again. I like that each brother have different characters Ben funny easy smile, Charlie cute worrier and wyatt strong brooding type. Only bug I have is the crying. Anna cried at a drop of a hat, even if she was happy. Other than that enjoy the case between Anna n the boys. Good HEA.

Anna survived not one but two really horrible beatings from two really evil sons-of-monkey-turds who got what they truly deserved in the end. No one should be allowed to ever hit anyone weaker than them and certainly no child should ever grow up with a father like the one Anna had, nothing like poetic justice.

Child abuse is a real thing and I seriously believe that some people should be licensed to become parents and I always wondered if in some cases it continued into adulthood and well even though this is a well thought piece of fiction I still think it has it’s bases in fact and there for answered that question.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Love cowboys and a western setting. I think this may have been my first mfmm book, if not it's certainly one the few I've read. Very sweet, insta love, insta drama, all sorted very quickly. Pretty much add water and stir fun read. I picked this title up for .99 and held it for a bit, then finally read it for a challenge requiring either a covergasm or covergasm fail. This title's cover fell into the later category for me. Story overall was much, much, better than what the cover conveyed to me.

This is my first book by Dixie Dwyer and it certainly won't be the last. This book has menage, hot, hot sex, dominant Alphas and some suspense. And it all happens in a small town. Loved it. Anna is running from the bad guys that beat her up and almost raped her since her father owed them money. She runs to her best friend in Pearl, TX and meets 3 Alphas who happen to be brothers looking for their one and only.

Well, I was just SHOCKED when young, innocent, very inexperienced Anna, who'd been abused and neglected by her father and then nearly raped by two thugs, would fall in love (and into bed) with the first threesome of strong, overly protective men she met. I mean, seriously. I just did not see that coming.

Stacy ' s story should of been 1st book instead of the 2nd . ..felt like I started in the middle of a story. Basically, it felt like I missed something with not knowing Stacy ' s story 1st. Anna's story was good but a little fast on the relationship side with the men in her life. What no dinner 1st?! lol

I didn't really like this book. It has all the elements that should make it something I would like but the heroine just didn't work for me. It's also a case where I think a good editor could have made it a much better book.

What did I just read? Well, let me just dish it all.

So I just spent the better part of two hours reading this book that had more grammar and spelling mistakes than I made during my "Spanish 101" class at school. Needless to say, it did not go well and that is one language the masses make appear much easier than it truly is. Which is why I was so surprised to see all of the many many mistakes throughout the entire book. Well, at first I was surprised... then it just became a little annoying.

And this book did not take long to read. It was incredibly short and predictable, but on top of that the writing was just so bad. There wasn't really any world building, not a lot of insight and a crap ton of description was missing. Just for an example, Anna is at Triple C ranch and she's in the garden amongst the flowers. How lovely, right? Well one of her menfolk happen by her and explain their mom loved clipping the flowers. And then they walk away and man #2 mentions the same thing. There was absolutely no description. It would have been so easy and things like that really do help with the story. It is so much easier to get sucked in. Like, oh hot damn, this is some sensual ass romance right up in here. Please... do go on!.

And let's not forget Anna. Sweet, short, shy, busty, virgin, selfless, talented Anna. That is much too long a title, so we'll just stick with Anna. Maybe, even, annoying Anna? I won't push my luck.

If she had been introduced in a better way, I would have loved all of those qualities in her. The beginning really draws you in and you see her for who she is. Exhausted. Working to support her and her drunken father. Her mom is dead. She's abused. You watch her and you know what you're dealing with. And, you know what? It was a good start with something solid to work with! But then, she gets to the town of Pearl, and I about lost my shit with her a page in.

I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she just acted like such a victim... such a victim. Now, I'm not saying this to make enemies. I'm not saying that what she went through was a breeze because it definitely wasn't. Each and every person has gone through shit and they deal with it in their own way. But when you cry at every single thing that happens and you continuously act like the child they "must" view you as... it get's on my damn nerves.

She was predictable and aggravating and her character just didn't work for me. I don't understood what all three of those men saw in her, but then again I'm not sure what she saw in all three of those men. I am absolutely positive I would have smacked Ben. Often. All the time. I'm sorry, but you think you can get all pissy with me and punish me because my best friend is pregnant and I didn't want to spoil the surprise? It's not my secret to tell, you douche! He was too domineering and bitchy for my taste. I genuinely liked Wyatt and Charlie though. They each had their best qualities and that extra star is for those sexy fantasies.

The sex was also just super underwhelming. You don't know the characters very well at all, time keeps skipping around either a week or three at once, and so you don't get invested. With anyone, really. And while the scenes are descriptive(ish), they leave a lot to be desired. It's like a more drawn out wham-bam-thank-you-Ma'am. And she was supposed to be severely injured during each and every fuck? I call serious bull shite.

I did buy this ebook on Amazon. So, you know, I guess I own this now. Overall, I would say save yourself two hours. You could also spend that $0.99 on the dollar menu at McDonalds? You'll no doubt regret them both, but that McChicken would be over way sooner...

Anna and Charlie, Ben and Wyatt
Menage relationship : MMFM

I like the base of this story, it shows great promise, but it falls flat in terms of coming together well and feels very rushed.
The emotional chemistry is good but not well explored between all three men. The story had a bit more potential, with the loan sharks and her healing and accepting the men.

If you like reading quick ménage stories then it's a okay read.

When Anna finds herself in danger because of her father she makes an escape to the town of Pearl where her friend lives with her two men. There she connects with the sheriff and a cowboy who are determined to make her see that love can be a beautiful thing with the right person. Will she give them the chance.

Even under normal circumstances I have a lot of issues with books where the H thinks he should 'punish' the h with a spanking for anything he disagrees with, but does it really seem like a good idea to 'punish' a woman who's been abused her whole life?

Such a wonderful author! Enjoyed the whole Town of Pearl series. If I had known a head of time I would have read book #2 first, Stacy's Destiny and then book #1 For the Love of Anna. Hey that's just me though. Back to reading her books I go!!
