With the season winding down and the Arsenals waiting to clinch a playoff spot, Ty couldn’t be happier his lover Jae has found a place on the team. After years of keeping his life a secret, Ty’s finally found someone perfect for him. Being with Jae is easier than he ever expected in a relationship, and he knows he’s falling fast.
But just when the men fall into stride together, Ty’s old college crush emerges from the past. Jack Bowen was everything to Ty—everything but his partner. It’s been more than five years since Jack literally shoved him away and made Ty question himself.
But what if all of that has changed? What if Jack could be the one, the fantasy Ty never had? Ty’s spent years wondering where he went wrong, so is Jack the ultimate prize or his worst mistake? But more importantly, can Ty sacrifice the man of his dreams for a new, and untested, relationship?
(The sequel, Fielder's Choice, is scheduled for release on December 19, 2010 at Amber Allure.)
First off, let's address this author's bio. She does not rescue dogs. She simply places them in her husband's home, who she doesn't live with and expects him to take care of them, so none of the sales go to what she says they do.
Secondly, this series is more trite than the bullshit written by Stephanie Meyer. The plot is full of holes, the characters are one dimensional, and the writing is akin to something found on a second grade instructor's desk waiting to be graded. These books have all the complexity one would find in the dear diary entries of a preteen. To call this woman an author is an insult to the written word.
I feel like these three books could have so easily have been one novel (and a shorter length one at that) just by cutting out the unnecessary baseball play by play. It was dull for anyone but a baseball fan (and being an Aussie, what I know about baseball could fit on the head of a pin) and took up space that would have been better used to develop the romance plot thread and flesh out the MCs a bit more.

Glad I checked the last few pages before I started reading this. I would have been pretty pissed seeing how it ended. I will wait for the next book out(hopefully it's the last of the series) and then read all 3 and hope for a HEA.
