The Seer part 1

Rate this book
I am thrilled to finally present to you, the “The Seer” series!

The Seer started as a short story, which I published in my first book “13 Unusual Short Stories”. But when I received an overwhelming response from many readers who wanted to read more about the Seer and many who wanted a longer format of this story, I was inspired to turn it into a series!

In a small town in India, a young boy is drawn into a world of magic and spells, when he learns that his grandfather is a Seer — a psychic who can communicate with spirits.

But unfortunately, his grandfather passes away before he can teach him more about spells and magic, and young Vikram should now navigate the world of magic on his own. Armed with his grandfather’s Book of Spells, Vikram vows to become a Seer to help people and spirits, while battling monsters and demons along with way!

Written in first person, The Seer is a fast-paced series, with a simple narration that will keep you hooked until the chilling climax!

This is the first part of “The Seer” series.

Don’t forget to pick up the rest of the books in this series and accompany Vikram on his exciting journey as he discovers not only magic and spells but also himself!

I am an engineer by profession and work for a leading MNC in Bangalore. If I was not an engineer I would have been a teacher! I am passionate about writing short stories and am inspired by the works of Ruskin Bond, RK Narayan and Kenneth Anderson. My short stories are a mix of supernatural events, human relationships and everyday life. I like to think of myself as a free thinker, a dreamer and a great singer when no one is listening!

What a great start to a new series. I have been a fan of the authors work for some time, stories with a twist on the usual formula and made more interesting with some very different settings.

Vikram is a young man who has a grandfather who is very unique. When he passes away Vikram finds out that he is even more strange than what people used to think. As you get into the story, you find out exactly what Vikram's grandfather did in his house and you will discover things about Vikram that he wasn't aware of himself. What is the significance of the banyan tree and why are people looking at Vikram strangely...

This is a fascinating start to a great new series. The small remote village is the perfect setting for what takes place and there are some creepy moments with a lot of action for a story that you can read within an hour. If you feel like a quick fix of supernatural action, look this way. Bring on book 2....

*I would like to thank Brendon for the opportunity to read the advanced copies of this series, I enjoyed them all very much. This is an unbiased review as I have bought the physical copy of this on Amazon*

Short, sweet and very enjoyable!

What a good short story this was, a young teenager accepting his role in life and starting to fulfil his potential as a Hindu Seer. Putting aside his fears he follows the family tradition and communicates with the Spirit world. His first act is to right a wrong and bring justice to a young woman so cruelly murdered. I can't wait for the next instalment.
