Well, at least it's a short book.

I don't know what I was thinking. I was undecided on what to read next and Amazon decided it was a good idea to show me this book as a free goodie for Kindle and I fell for it. Stupid me, after so many books I forgot the most valuable asset I have is my time.

Not to say all is bad. This is a compendium of nice little stories of famous successful people. Some of them will be new to you, some you've already heard about. The stories are inspiring and somewhat interesting most of the time.

But that's all to it. The so called "8 attributes" are simply obvious, superficial and, sometimes, even explained with pieces of wrong advice in the eyes of those familiar with modern developments in psychology and/or behavioral psychology.

As I have the 8th attribute myself - "Persistent" - I won't quit from books despite this disappointment and be careful with what I choose to read next. As I want to be sure to go the right way this time, I'm picking up The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness.

Some of these stories and attributes I will long remember. Steve Young - no excuses. Sam Walton - no pretense - he steps in and help whenever needed. Wright brothers, Winston Churchill, Gandhi, Walt Disney, Jon Huntsman - and many many more. I love their examples and their attitude they can accomplish anything.

I would highly recommend

In the book “The 8 attributes of the Great Achievers” by Cameron C. Taylor, shows 8 key and fundamental attributes needed for success. Responsible, Creator, Independent, Humble, Honest, Optimistic, Vision, Persistent are just the starting 8 attributes of his two book series. Clearly the intent of Cameron C. Taylor was to show his audience the foundation of being successful in what you to, especially in finances. Within the pages of this book, are many stories of successful people and how they came to that successful stage. If you have these attributes in your life, make sure you apply them. They will get you through hard times and make them victorious times.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Especially for entrepreneurs who are looking for a bright future. It has helped me in many areas of my life, such as friendships, relationships, and the forward movement towards my goals. It also enhances your knowledge of what is right and wrong. The different outcomes of those who are lazy and those who are diligent. This book is a must if you want to be successful in your life.

this is really nice book. In this author has a very clear view about this 8 people and also author has detail search about this people. In this i find the best portion of Sir SAM WALTON. Ya, it is also true that due to non-fiction it would be boring one at one point but it is atleast 10 times more better than What Young India Wants. Also It has very language, so easier to read.

Amazing book. Worth reading as you understand the level of compassion in Gandhi's heart, Optimism in Churchill's strive for freedom for Britian, even Disney's dream to have people around the world to be happy and Franlin's brilliancy to drive you from mediocricity to excellence.

This book is long on persuasion but short on instruction. However, it does remove our excuses for failing to achieve greatness. Once our excuses are gone, we are free to figure out how on our own.

Clear concise writing made it an easy read, but it lacked a clear relation between attribute and example

I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Cameron C. Taylor writes 8 Attributes of Great Achievers, which is the second volume in his Great Achievers series. This book covers many positive traits of leaders and achievers. The content doesn't feel particularly fresh, but it provides a good reminder in a concise format. Benjamin Fife narrates this work, and he gives a compelling performance.

In each chapter, Taylor shares an attribute that will help you become a great achiever. He argues the value of each attribute with character studies of prominent figures, personal examples and opportunities for self-examination. The stories and anecdotes from famous individuals are particularly engaging, and their quotes are peppered throughout the book. Examples include Viktor E. Frankl, Christopher Columbus, John Wooden and James Stockdale. Most of the content is not unique to this book, as it can be learned in basic historical textbooks. Nonetheless, Taylor combines the information in a way that clearly shows the value of each attribute.

Benjamin Fife is an expressive narrator, which makes him a great choice for this book. His narration is clear and precise, and he adds the right amount of emotion to keep things interesting. There were a couple times in this book where the recording would stop or catch, but it didn't detract very much from the overall experience. This content has the potential to sound monotonous and flat, but Fife does a fine job keeping it engaging throughout the three hour and 51 minute run time.

8 Attributes of Great Achievers, Vol. 2 is interesting and inspiring. All eight attributes are positive traits, and Taylor includes enough facts and references to give credibility to each. Some of the chapters seem like a review of common knowledge. Although, when taken as a whole, this book can help motivate one to better themselves. Fife brings the concepts together in a unique way with his solid narration. If you enjoy self-help or historical books, you will likely enjoy this title.

This is a great mindset book. I know there is a second book and I know I'm going to read it soon,I only give it 4 stars because I think Taylor could have expanded on it a little more.

I loved the mindset of several of these people. The primary movers of the needle for me where the Wright Brothers, George Washington and Benjamin Franklin. The key to their success was built on helping others succeed even at great personal cost. So few people truly appreciate just how important these men were to the concept of Free Enterprise in American tradition. As an entrepreneur myself, I've become a better person in the last year. Many of the characteristics these men displayed I've taken to heart myself.

You'll find this book when you need it.

A great book to read. The author emphasizes all the eight attributes with great illustrations. Reading about Mahatama Gandhi to Benjamin Franklin and Sam Walton in the same book really inspires you to inculcate all the attributes within your own self.

Nice to start but disappoints later

Though it was nice overall but just became an attempt by the author to sell himself by first introducing the importance of mentorship and then pushing his own struggle in creating the business. I ain't buying what you are selling
