This specific novel traces the embryonic growth of the artist-protagonist from the moment when he exhibits artistic talents to the point when he actually creates. Specific themes, motifs, and structure define the genre. The authors studied are: Hermann Hesse, D.H. Lawrence, James Joyce, and Theodore Dreiser."

More than 15,000 .
students from 100+ New York and Connecticut high schools have been invited free to this program.
. In 2006-2007, she introduced a new course at the United Nations for New York’s high school students, “Filmmaking for Young Peacemakers.” She partnered with New York University’s Tisch Film School and the United Nations.
. In 2008, she introduced a program in New York City’s high schools, “Global Voices Through Film.” By using foreign film as the medium, she has created a multi-disciplinary curricula to teach students about global events. She partners with the U.N.
. In 2012-present, she has created Filmedsⓒ, a digital online video series that teaches students about global hotspots. This project has been funded by a Ford Foundation grant to create and implement Filmedsⓒ into New York City schools and complements her book, World Affairs in Foreign Films for high school and middle school students as curriculum.
. In 2015-present, the United Nations and the Department of Public Information, have given Dr. Seret a briefing room for her “Global Classroom” where she screens films, Filmedsⓒ and offers briefings to students of all ages. She partners with New York City’s Department of Education.
