A murder witnessed at Judson Farm brings Francis Hoyt together with Andrew Barr and Lieutenant Cummings in this 1950s Crime Club selection. Classified “of character and atmosphere” by leading American mystery novel writer, Doris Miles Disney this has an obvious vintage feel to it but with less grit than your typical hardboiled/noir fiction from across the pond.
