What I thought was going me to be an overview of Judaic philosophy turned out to be a collection of abridged essays from different periods of the twentieth century. The first section was a historical analysis of the major books of the Old Testament from the Babylonian diaspora. The second section is a historical summary of the Maccabean period and the last section is an overview of the Talmud. Somewhat interesting but so sporadic and superficial I don't recommend it for those unfamiliar with the Bible or Jewish history.
