En concreto, asistimos a la historia de Belisarda, pastora a quien su padre ha decidido casar con su mejor amigo. Belisarda habrá de enfrentarse a muchas desventuras hasta poder confesar su amor secreto a Anfriso, el verdadero objeto de sus sentimientos.-
