Nanny Piggins and the Wicked Plan
When Mr Green announces his diabolical plan – he has decided to get married – his children (Derrick, Samantha and Michael) are horrified. Especially when they discover his real motive – he wants to get married so he can sack their beloved nanny, Nanny Piggins. Obviously their father has to be stopped, and Nanny Piggins is just the pig to do it. Because you should never ever cross a flying pig. And so, in the process of ruining Mr Green’s matrimonial prospects, Nanny Piggins and the children have many exciting adventures – including being blasted across Dead Man’s Gorge with an armadillo, breaking into a maximum-security prison in search of Chinese food and fighting a Gypsy Queen over a pit of fire.

Love, love, love Nanny Piggins! It will make you cringe and laugh at the same time (great for the facial muscle workout).

Another win - if you haven't listened to these - I PROMISE YOU ARE MISSING OUT. We finished this one and H and G wanted to immediately listen to book 1 again. The fact that my kids were BEGGING to listen to a book makes it a complete win for me. I promise you won't regret it - the author reads them and she is amazing as a reader. AMAZING.

Second in this series. This has been such a delightful discovery for our read aloud this year. Again, we follow Nanny Piggins and her crazy nannying skills and getting into situations that you have no idea how she will get out of this and then she does… and it is just plain hilarious. I find myself laughing so often. My favorite was when she wanted to dig a hole to China and accidentally dug an escape tunnel to a prison. It was just fantastically funny and the ending perfect.

Oh, Nanny Piggins, how much do I love your absurdity, your outrageousness, and your love of cakes?

These books are laugh out loud funny. If you are feeling down, turn to Nanny Piggins for the cure - she won't let you down.
I love Nanny Piggins so much I attempted to see if the books that have been released in the UK and Australia that have not yet been released here in the States could be found for a reasonable price. (The answer is no. No ebook releases via amazon.uk and no release yet in Cananda, where I could have made a quick trip over the border. Sigh. I'll just have to wait . . . )

What fun! I remember looking at the first in this series, but never read it properly. Clearly I should of as this is a hoot. Want to read more of them now.

Oh, how I love Sarah Matahari Lorelei Piggins. As funny as the first book, with plenty more absurd situations which are usually resolved with cake. Made me chuckle all the way through.

This read aloud has been Dad's favorite book to read to the children at night. My kids laugh out loud and love hearing Dad laugh along. It has been an engaging story for a range of ages.

Dissecting Nanny Piggins, not literally, of course, she's a fictional character!
She's also a pig with a sweet tooth, who eats lots of cake, and dislikes Mr. Green. She cares for Mr. Green's children Derrick, Samantha, and Michael.
Nanny Piggins has left the circus for good. She often encourages the children to search Mr. Green's room for money. If the grumpy man does something she doesn't like she sells something of his that's valuable. Mr. Green is also unaware of Boris, the very large honey-eating Bear, who came from the circus with Nanny Piggins. He sits outside the window for the children to pass food to.
Never cross a flying pig! The doctor Nanny Piggins was taking Michael to see found that out. She didn't like sitting in the waiting room for the doctor. Neither did his other patients and Nanny Piggins cured them all with cake. She set herself up in opposition to the doctor and he lost all his patients. That was until they both came to an understanding. The patients found eating a cake made them happy but gave them stomach aches, so the doctor offered to fix them if Nanny Piggins left him to be a doctor. That is just one example of the mischief this flying pig creates.
This book is hilarious and very whacky and I've enjoyed reading it.

This extraordinary book is suitable for all ages (mostly from age 8-12) considering the fact that this book’s main character, Sarah Piggins (Nanny Piggins) loves devouring cakes. I personally love the series as each book has its own unique story. This is extremely helpful as usually you would need to read the first few books in a certain series to know what’s happening in the next few books. This particular book was about Nanny Piggins and the children having many exciting adventures – including being blasted across Dead Man’s Gorge with an armadillo, breaking into a prison searching for Chinese food and fighting a Gypsy Queen over a pit of fire. Overall, this amazing book would be a little bit more entertaining if it had more pictures around the stories - therefore receiving a 4.5 star rating from me.

از آن سهستارههایی نیست که دوست داشته باشم بار دیگر بخوانمشان. طنز بامزهای داشت اما خیلی تکراری میشد و داستانگویی باعجله بود؛ انگار نویسنده فقط قرار بود تندتند چیزهایی را تعریف کند و تمام! اسم کتاب خیلی به محتوا ربط نداشت؛ یک نقشهی شیطنتآمیز (نه خیلی شیطانی) در صفحات اول اجرا شد و بعد هم ماجراهای متفرقه بود که برای شخصیتها پیش میآمد
درست است که کارهای خلاف عرف ممکن است جالب به نظر برسد اما بهشرط پرداخت درست در داستان و اینکه هی مدام تکرار نشود
دلیل علاقهی بچهها به بزی خیلی پررنگ نبود. پیرنگ چندان قوی نیست
از همه مهمتر، اسم کتاب عوض شده چون شخصیت اصلی از خوک تبدیل شده به بز! چرا؟ گویا کتاب اصلی مصور بوده و در ترجمه، تصویری دیده نمیشود
!!

A charming sequel for all of us who laughed ourselves silly reading The Adventures of Nanny Piggins and for everyone who somehow missed the first book about the world's most stylish flying pig. Although the first book with the pie-baking competition will remain my favorite, it's a hard book to dislike.

I admit that this second book had about 90% of the charm that the first book did (a couple of the chapters were kind of "meh" for me.) But I'm still giving this one 5 stars because it's well-written, has lots of laughs, and it's a book my entire family listened to and loved (children ages 4, 6, 7, 11, 14, and 16).

While this book series goes on this was the last audio recording made. This hilarious, slightly dark nanny pig really made us enjoy our lunch time. We laughed over the crazy stories of Nanny Piggins. We did notice there were some patterns: a battle at the end of the book, some sort of contest that Nanny is involved in. The stories are so funny you will want to keep reading.

Finally finished this one, after reading it bit by bit every morning at the bus stop, and during our summer mornings! We giggled through the whole thing. There isn't so much a continuous plot, but just funny, outrageous episodes. Can't wait to read more!

My 7 yo says that these are her favorite books ever. We finished #2 and she requested #3 before it was even set aside. She is convinced that they would make the best cartoons ever and that Netflix had better get on that.

We all love Nanny Piggins! There were a couple chapters in this one that I could’ve skipped over (the “fat lady” at the circus one, for example), but on the whole it was great
