A painstaking piece of detective work, drawing on all available evidence, this is the most thorough and important work on a perennially fascinating topic.
Sometimes you have a book on your shelf at home that you are not entirely sure how you acquired it or when it appeared on said bookshelf, only that it is there. Atlantis: Myth or Reality falls in this unique category. It probably could have lived on said shelf unnoticed, but I grew up with Atlantis being a major cultural touchstone and thought it looked interesting enough to finally read. Overall, I would say if you have this book already it is a quick to get though, but I wouldn't say it should be your go-to if your looking for a compelling Atlantis non-fiction.
The first half of this book is a pretty good evaluation of the evidence of whether or not Atlantis really did exist. The second half supposes it does exist and makes postulations about what their life was like there. Not bad, but some of the ideas grow a little far fetched at times.
