Nothing exciting happens in Tawny Taylor's life, unless you count giving the cat a flea dip--a cat can make some fascinating sounds when immersed chin-deep in insecticide--or chasing after a houseful of upchucking kids during flu season. She doesn't travel the world or employ a staff of personal servants. She's not even built like a runway model. She's just your run-of-the-mill, pleasantly plump Detroit suburban mom and wife.

Two vampire alpha males calming you… really, how can you find fault with that?

This was a delightful book and honestly I can’t find a lot of fault. This wasn’t pure erotic and had a nice paranormal story that ran concurrent to the rest of the book as a mystery. The ending was a bit of a shock, which was a nice surprise. I would have preferred to have read more of the triad together and how the Origo aspect relates to that. The concept of shared feeling was only spoken of, nothing more and that was a bit of a downer.

In regards to the char, I could really feel the connection between Burke & Sophie. When the forced separation occurred I could really feel the torment from both sides. I never felt that Miko was anything more than a third wheel. The fact that less than 24-hour Miko has a forced separation, there wasn’t anything missing and other than boredom from Sophie. Maybe the last quarter was a bit rushed to end the mystery that it didn’t go any further into their relationship. Miko and Burke were very batman and robin, and I enjoyed their interactions; it was at time almost comical. However they came across with a stronger connection than the 3 of them together.

Not that I always need a HEA, but this one really fit and didn’t seem forced. Nice conclusion. Very solid book and looking to read more from the author.

Well, gotta say I just didn't like this book. Didn't care for the characters at all. Just couldn't get into it.

Sophie Durand is a nightclub (Carpe Nocturne) owner. One night a man is found murdered in her club. She then meets a mysterious dude, who turns out to be a vampire and suspected of being the murderer by the secret vampire police (no, really). We discover Sophie is an origo, meaning that she is destined to belong to two masters. Of course, the other master would be one of the secret police.

Cue trying to keep Sophie safe and alive, dealing with the whole thing of both masters being at odds, etc.

This was a very short book, but even then, not much happened. There was a lot of fluff, and a lot of "telling, not showing" which always drives me batshit insane.

I really, really hated the actual writing, and ended up skimming a lot.

It was a lot of informal, almost juvenile writing - the kind that you see on facebook or short, personal emails, except with more exclamation points:

"She was going to do the wild thing in the shower! Happy squeal!"

"Two men. One girl. So hot.
Ha, she hadn't known how hot the reality of it was! It was like a nuclear blast. Kaboom!"

I just expect more out of writing that someone is being paid to do.

Add in that I'm not a fan of S&M (patriarchal attitudes and cultural pressure issues), nor anal, and it was mostly those two things. The sex scenes had little lead up, and little pay off. They were just a lot shorter and less descriptive than I would prefer out of my erotica.

So yeah, not a fan. I give bonus cookies for the actually attempt at a plot, but I would never read this author's work again because of the actual writing.

Sophie finds a man murdered and hanging in her office at her nightclub. That is how she meets Burke and Miko. Two vampires investigating the murders of other men in other nightclubs in the area. She feels an irresistible pull to both men, and they also are unable to resist her.
The sex is a bit rough, but it doesn't distract from the actual storyline. A little far-fetched but a good story.

This was an interesting take on vampire stories but was essentially sex with a supernatural twist. Very corny female character. Not a book I’d recommend...

My Thoughts

Okay you know all those free reads that we all have on our Kindles from Amazon, well this is one of mine and it is a winner!

Burke and Miko are both "Masters" and Sylvie is a submissive and with that being said this is not only a story about M/F/M relationship but a murder mystery thriller that is a pretty fast read that will keep you happy as it is well thought out and has some twists that you do not see coming until too late. Not only that but yes the smex is steamy and for those who like menage stories it is also appealing on that front as well.
I am glad that I hit "buy" button on this one and look forward to reading more by the author Tawny Taylor if I get the chance to do so someday soon!

Can this even be considered in the realm of vampirism?

Both Burke and Miko are sanguinarian vampires that exude sex appeal and a mesmerizing stare that bewitches its victim (Sophie) into compromising situations. They can lift a 100+lb women but are unable to tackle simple chains or duck tape. Yes, duck tape, that insurmountable dreaded mortal chain, flummoxes even the undead when one suddenly finds themselves bound by it.

Supposedly their strength and rejuvenative powers far surpass mortals but the books leading men often find themselves unconscious, bound, being b* slapped, and at the mercy of others. I can only assume if my grandmother was in this tale she would kick some serious vamp ass. No super-hearing or sense of smell for these guys but they can summon up clothing and a dungeon with a snap of their fingers thanks to magic. If you're in the mood of reading a farce of a tale then read Claim Me a book featuring two men with large bicuspid and an insatiable urge to dominate.

Finding a man murdered in her nightclub was bad enough, realizing that she is in danger as well has Sophie Durand terrified. Burke Langton is handsome, charismatic, and a vampire who is searching for the killer since he has been falsely accused of the murder. Burke realizes that he has finally found his mate, Sophie but in order to finish the claiming they have to find their third... a cop who just happens to be looking for Burke.

This was interesting the vampire/mate story was intriguing and trying to figure out who the murderer was kept me captivated. There is an awfully lot going on in the story that sometimes left me a bit confused.

This was an interesting vampire read. I really enjoyed it and plan to read more along this series. I was a bit disappointed because we didn't learn much about how vampires came to be or what their weaknesses were, except for sunlight.

There was a touch of BDSM to the book but not much. I didn't really get a feel for D/s relationship between Sylvie, Miko and Burke. I was also a bit stunned that Sylvie could take them both with no prep and she'd never done that before. That one was a real stretch for me.

What I Liked: It told a story and didn't race through the book without letting the reader know what was happening, and why.

What I didn't Like: I didn't like the fact that its main men where 2 vampires and not one, it gets confusing on where the book is trying to go and what is happening.

But all in all this book was good. The story was well told and the other did a great job at keeping me on the edge of my seat.

I really enjoyed Claim Me. It was a pretty quick read and extremely steamy for the sex scenes. That's something I love about Tawny Taylor - those portions are never skimped on!

I just wished there had been more world-building. I would've loved to hear how vampires were "born" as they had parents, and a little more about Sylvie's past, along with the magic they did.

All in all, this was a fun read that I definitely enjoyed.

Highly recommend this story. The story of a woman having not one but two soul mates out there in the world is thrilling. What woman doesn't want to find her one and only, but find out you have two is mind blowing. Tawney weaves a suspenseful story of a woman that finds a dead body in her bar into a page turning journey to catch a killer while opening herself up to romance with 2 vampires.

Loved the premise, but wasn't thrilled with the actual storytelling. Didn't care for the pov and the plethora of narrative to tell me the characters' emotions rather than utilizing action or dialogue.

Kinda liked it and hated it at the same time. The story line was OK but a bit underdeveloped. Also the writing style was amateur in places, but Ok in others. For erotica, the sex was mediocre.

Overall, just an "ok" read.

Interesting read. The triangle they had going was exciting and kept you reading to find out who the killer was. Miko, I think didn't really get his fair shake, she seemed more into Burke then him. Either way a good read.

It was an easy read. Not an overly long book but enjoyable enough If you have nothing to read & like vampires. Sex descriptions are fairly full on though - so be warned

I couldn't imagine having two mates. Especially when they are enenmies. One who is trying to clear his name and another that works for the law. I was taken on a great adventure.

Not worth the $6 I paid for it! Not one of Tawny's better stories. Felt rushed & just left so many unanswered questions.
Save your money on this story, & that's coming from a Tawny fan!

Enjoyed the basic story line but there were allot of missing details and skipping ahead in the story. Burke and his passion were definitely my favorite parts throughout.
