A paranormal psychic investigation mystery and winner of the silver medal Bookfest award for Supernatural Thrillers in Fiction.
Most people think of Daphne Winters as a quirky personality, prone to blurting out painful truths and talking about weird things like death and ghosts. She doesn’t see any reason to not be direct. She, of all people, knows how short life is. She’s been talking to ghosts since she was a child. And now she just wants to start over with a new life in a new town, escaping a past that includes consulting with the Los Angeles Police Department as a psychic investigator. Only her new-found peace doesn’t last long. The ghost of Grace Collins has appeared and is asking for her help, right around the same time the cops find Grace’s murdered body floating in nearby Millerton Lake. And Daphne likes ghosts more than she does most people, so there is no way she’s turning Grace down – whether the local cops like it or not. Daphne’s unconventional investigative methods will give the local P.D. more than they bargained for, as the case takes them all down the twists and turns of a murder mystery that is so much more than it seems.

Fabulous!! For anyone who enjoys paranormal this book will rock your soul spirit!
This is an awesome read! Vastly enjoyable from beginning to end. Fast paced, spirit disturbing; soul rewarding! This author has a new convert, ME. PottsvillePA_SUN; 06182023. Deirdre Hutchins has it going' on, girl! Thank you!!!
I finally found a good psychic medium book and only to get hooked and with the 2 nd book no where insight... Go figure.... I hope your a fast writer DH. Thank you for the great read and hurry up with the next one ok!!
This is s good book and I really Liked it. It was fast and read easy. I couldn't put it down. Parts of it were a little off but it was still good. The writing seemed trite in certain places and a little amateurish but it was still compelling. There is a ghost or Maybe a few and they can talk and hold people down and are pretty tough. Its a hard subject with human trafficking, and snuff films and a little sad. If this is her first book, I do believe she is going to be spectacular one day. I am reading the next one now!
Loved the series that first introduced Daphne her friends at Paranormal Investigation League. I liked all the characters so when I saw the companion series with Daphne I couldn't wait to read it. I'll be waiting for future books in this series and the originaI. Read the series. You can start with either one but the PIL series will give you a precise understanding and overview of the characters, their talents/gifts, their mission, and what drives each of them in their quests!
I gave the book 3 stars but future books have room to get better. Liked the premise of the story and the characters start to grow on you. However the writing is choppy and jumps around a great deal. I think I kinda like this author but will need to read additional books to get a better feel. Overall I don’t have a lot to complain about and the writing style is more about personal preferences. Look forward to the next book.
This book was great! A ghost comes to Daphne and Daphne calls the police to let them know what the ghost has told her. The only problem is that the police haven’t found the ghost’s body yet. This is just the beginning of a twisted story that I couldn’t put down.
The body & the soul: daphne winter’s psychic investigation series book 1
Great psychic murder novel, it includes a detective and Daphne a psychic. They joined forces to rescue a young girl from being murdered by a stuff film.
This is a spinoff from the author’s paranormal investigations series, which I’ve really enjoyed. You can read this as a standalone, but will definitely want to grab the other series next.
A nicely written ghost story with a romance woven into the plot. Recommended with 3 🌟 stars. Available on Kindle Unlimited when I read it. A small book with just 151 pages.
I loved this book. It grabbed me from start to end. I couldn't put it down. As soon as I finished it, I ordered the next one. Great story and terrific characters.
I admit this is a pretty standard paranormal story but I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. I will read more in this series and can recommend giving it a read.
First time reading this author. This was okay, insta-lovey, but as I enjoy the psychic detective trope as well as psychics in general, I’m interested in reading more from this author.
