Where Jesus Walked: The Land and Culture of New Testament Times

Rate this book
Jesus of Nazareth was a master teacher. As did all the great Hebrew poets and prophets before him, Jesus consistently drew from his geographical milieu to illustrate his teachings. The more people become acquainted with the land of Jesus, the more they will understand the imagery and symbols drawn from the Holy Land.

I wanted to read a book for this Holy Week, but this was too much like a textbook and I couldn't get into it.

I enjoyed seeing how the geographical features, flora, fauna, and other aspects of the Holy Land related to Jesus' teachings. This book wasn't overly detailed, but seemed pretty thorough. It would be a good reference book for teachers of the New Testament.
