Not normally the kind of book I would read. I seen the title and thought way not especially the way everything is right now. This book starts on January 1st and goes for a whole year till December 31st. For the most part I really didn't find it funny at all but I did find myself laughing out loud more then a few times. I wound up really enjoying the book which surprised me. Thought provoking kind of read.

Each day there were positive quotes, bible verses, stories, or cartoons. All were positive, some were funny, and others didn’t have anything to do with my
life. I really wasn’t familiar with this author, but I think she may be an inspirational speaker. She would be especially helpful to parents who have lost a child or who have a child that has come out of the closet.

After reading another of Barbara Johnson's book I was looking forward to a daily devotional book written by her. It turned out to be a huge disappointment! There were a few good daily thoughts, but overall they were just completely silly stuff! Not uplifting at all! I stuck with it because I started it. Mostly a waste of my time though!

A lot of biblical error. Not as much humor as I thought. This was a daily bible reading. Only a few nuggets were helpful due to misinterpretation of the scriptures.

A fun, easy to read devotional. Each day includes a Scripture, story and a small fact to keep in mind throughout the day. Like most devotionals it covers all 365 days in a year starting with January 1st. Each day has a story, lesson, joke, comic/picture or interesting facts to try and lighten or brighten your day.
Some of the daily readings were amusing and made me chuckle or smile. However Barbara Johnson seemed to rely heavily on the same basic subject and concepts for most of the book so some of what she wrote seemed a bit stale after awhile. However, if read only 1 a day it may not be as noticeable unless you have a sharp memory. The other shortcoming for me reading this was the generational gab. many subjects were less effective and some jokes outdated. Otherwise though, I find her writing to be enjoyable and insightful and uplifting.

This is a devotional book based off of her others humorous books. It's like a splash of funniness to add to your daily routine.

This is a true book of joy.
It would make a great gift for any reader.

This was a light and airy devotional book; sometimes even a bit corny. Sorry, but I guess her style of humor doesn't fit well with me. However, I'm sure she would resonate more with me if I was listening to her, instead of reading her. Also, I like my devotions to go deeper.
