Born as Katie Infield in Brighton, East Sussex, England on May 22 1978, I changed my last name to Price when my mother Amy remarried. I have an older brother, Daniel, and a younger sister, Sophie.
Although I had many interests when I was younger, a friend suggested that I should pursue a modeling career. So I sent a few shots to an agency and was taken on. I attended loads of castings, had my fair share of negative responses then one day, in a studio next to where I was working, a model failed to turn up for a shoot. The photographer asked around if anyone would be interested in doing a topless shoot… and the rest, as they say, is history!
My topless modeling career took off in 1996 when I appeared in The Sun as part of the ‘Page 3′ pictorial. The legendary section of the tabloid features a different girl each day posing topless. I was the first topless model to grace the Page 3 for a whole week – fully dressed on a Monday, then each day revealing more and more untill Friday – full topless. The exposure boosted my career and I soon became one of the UKs most famous models, under the pseudonym ‘Jordan.’
From there on I graced many magazine front covers , not just in the UK but also across Europe. My popularity soon reached even further afield and I posed for Playboy, landing on the front cover of the September 2002 issue.
I have been through many well-publicised relationships. And my illnesses, including the removal of a tumor from one of my fingers and complications with my pregnancies and family, have been very public.
I didn't expect to read this, was reading it more out of interest wondering if there was anything worthwhile 'Jordan' could say about fashion etc but found that I really enjoyed it, that she spoke alot of sense and the book seemed to be really honest, warts and all. She hasn't just produced a book showing all the best shots of her but also some of the disasters, she seems to be able to have a laugh at her own expense
I love Katie Price. Even though I would never in a million years, wear her causal clothes, her chav look as she calls it. I do love her over the top outfits when she's being photographed or at an event. Full of amazing (Jordan and Princess in matching dresses) and some not-so-amzing (Pregnant at the comady awards in some horrible outfit) photos. You get the good and the bad shots with her. Quiet funny in places, best quote being "I don't think there has ever been a Jordon-inspired drag queen (actually there was one once, but she was pretty crap I think her name was Jodie Marsh)" Really like the shoot in the drama queen section. I skimmed the make up tips as I'm not really intrested. But overall a nicely laid out book. Going in the pc :)
As a Katie Price fan I can't believe I only just read this book although I bought it at a book signing two years ago. Some good pictures, but her style is just not to my taste, minus about two outfits. I enjoyed reading her fave makeup products.
I enjoyed this book as it was about fashion and well I just loved it and it showed how Katie does her poses and what she has on here in her daily life and what shops she shops at and all sort and I just love the book
