Why You Can't Get Free

Rate this book
The material presented in this book consists of two parts—first the physical and then the spiritual. God created the human body with the intent of bringing glory to Himself. When sin entered into the human race, mankind died spiritually and lost the ability to control the physical nature. The human body became a slave to sin, and it cannot overcome the sinful nature of the flesh. Sin is a terrible master that God strongly warns will capture us. Addiction captures a person with a force that is greater than the ability to resist. It is only through the regenerating work of Christ that a person can regain control and experience victory over the powerful effects of addiction working in a sinful body.

The information presented in this book is here to help those who have stumbled into an addictive behavior—and try, as they might—cannot get free. While the principles contained within these pages apply to any behavioral addiction such as sex, gambling, pornography, and even shopping, to name a few, my primary goal is to help you come to an understanding through both a Biblical and scientific view of how you got to the place where you are now, and how to be free again.
