Fatal Accusation ( Windy Ridge #2 )
By: Rachel Dylan
Fatal Accusation is book two in Windy Ridge Series by Rachel Dylan. The author grad me at the start and did not let go till the end. The author has written a story that will have you on the edge of your seat and trying to read faster to see what is going to happen next. Attorney Olivia after a hard trial thinks things might settle down , but was she wrong. Pastor Dan from Windy Ridge Church has been accused of embezzling money from his church. This news is shocking to some of the people. Olivia takes Pastor Dan on as her client. Did Pastor Dan take the money ? There are some evil forces working in Windy Ridge , will they destroy the church and take over Windy Ridge church and the community? There is the battle between good and evil , who wins?

"You should realize that there is such a thing as spiritual warfare, and Windy Ridge happens to be a battleground right now."

Rachel Dylan continues her Windy Ridge series on spiritual warfare here and the battle ramps up between the forces of good and evil. I totally believe in spiritual warfare and I believe she portrays it quite accurately.

Olivia Murray, an attorney, in back in Windy Ridge and loves her new community. But then the pastor of her church is arrested for embezzlement and goes to jail. Olivia defends him pro bono and soon realizes that he is being set up and their church has been targeted by demonic forces. She is not alone, however, because her friend and soon to become more than friend, Grant Baxter, is on her side. Together, with a handful of believers, they begin to fight the biggest battle of their lives. I was absolutely captivated from the very beginning. Highly recommended. I can't wait for the third in the series.

*My thanks to the author for a copy of this book. A review was not required and the opinions stated here are my own.

Another great legal suspense by Rachel Dylan. Fatal Accusation drew me in with the spiritual warfare element to the story. Satan is seeking whom he may devour. Pastor Dan Light is under attack for his beliefs by two New Age companies. But can attorney Olivia Murray withstand the trial and the attacks? Will the church, and the pastor's reputation, survive? Rachel Dylan weaves a believable suspense as you try to figure out if Pastor Dan embezzled funds or if he was framed, and if so, by whom.

I look forward to reading more stories by this author. If you like Christian legal suspense, you'll love this author's work.

I received a free copy in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

We are welcomed back to Windy Ridge, where Olivia has been sent to open up a new branch of the BCR law firm and is immediately told that Pastor Dan has been charged with embezzling. She takes the case, pro bono, and sets out to find out the truth of the matter. Grant is back as well as some other familiar faces from the first book and a new one as well. This story starts fast and doesn’t let up til the conclusion. This is book 2 in the series and though it could be read as a stand alone, the 1st book will fill in so much of the back story that you will want to read it first. Anxiously awaiting the soon release of book 3 to see what else Windy Ridge is up against. Great storyline with likeable (and no so likeable) characters is this hard to put down book.

FATAL ACCUSATION by Rachel Dylon is the 2nd book in the Windy Ridge series. This picks up from the Trial and Tribulation book 1.
Attorney Olivia has had a hard trial and was on vacation. Comes back and now is doing pro bono for the charges against pastor Dan. Charges from New Age groups have been filed against him, for embezzlement This has rocked the people and church, and for Olivia a community she loves. With her friends and fellow attorney Grant by her side, will she win. A great thriller of spiritual warfare, keeps the intrigue to the end. Looking forward to the next in series. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Fatal Accusation is book two in the Windy Ridge Legal Thriller series. It picks up a couple months after the end of the first book and was just as thrilling. It was nearly impossible to put down and when I did have to set it aside for 'real life' things, it was constantly on my mind.

I really enjoy Rachel Dylan's writing style. She's got a way of pulling me right into a story and keeping me completely hooked til the end.

I'm really loving this series. The spiritual battles along with the legal drama has really captured my full attention. I can't get enough of it. I'm so glad that book three is out because I'm headed off to start reading it right now. Highly, highly recommended!

A mesmerizing story about the battle that is raged in the spiritual world....Scripture states that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers in high places"...this book brings that to light in a very unique contemporary setting. It was a page-turner for me! The only criticism that I offer is the publisher should take more care of editing out grammar, spelling and omitted words...I found a number of errors as I was reading and they were a bit of a distraction in the moment!

This is the second book in the Windy Ridge series. I read Christian fiction regularly but this series is the first I've read regarding spiritual warfare and perhaps that's why it didn't grab my attention right away. Once it did I couldn't put it down. The ending was a shock. I can't wait for book 3.

I admire Olivia's strong faith.

Couldn't Put This Book Down.

Since first learning to read 64 years ago, I have loved the escape that reading allows. As a Christian, it's very important that the books that I read are appropriate reading. Rachel Dylan knows how to write books that are clean in language, romantic, and nail biting thrillers!

Fatal Accusation was just as exciting as Trial and Tribulation. It continued the thrill ride of good vs. evil with even more attacks against Windy Ridge Community Church. Get ready for another page turner, at the edge of your seat, can't put down book. I highly recommend the Windy Ridge series and can't wait to see what is in store for Olivia, Grant, Pastor Dan and the rest.

A great second in the series for Rachel Dylan. It kept my interest and was a fun journey. There were some places where a little more research would have been beneficial and the main part-namely the trial-is a little rushed after a long lead-in. I am also not a big fan of knowing so many details up-front as I prefer a bit more of a plot twist. Never-the-less, I enjoyed the book a great deal and am looking forward to the next one.

The faith community of Windy Ridge is rocked by a seeming betrayal by Pastor Dan Light in Rachel Dylan’s latest legal thriller, Fatal Accusation. In this supernaturally-charged suspense novel, the reader is treated to twists and turns galore and fast-paced action. If you haven’t read book 1 in this series, Trial & Tribulation, make sure to do so first. The plot lines are continuous, so you’ll miss some really good stuff!

While the action in Fatal Accusation is front and center, characterization does not take a back seat. Olivia Murray is a great lead character — complex, with a strong faith foundation. Dylan uses her to show the power that God can exhibit through His people. Spiritual warfare is chillingly illustrated in this novel, but in a very realistic way. Perhaps that is why it makes such an impact on the reader. The battles between good and evil make this a thought-provoking page turner. I liked that Dylan resolved the legal fight Pastor Dan is involved in, but she leaves some plot lines dangling. There’s more than enough for another much anticipated book.

One theme I especially liked was the idea of God using our circumstances, both good and bad, to shape our lives and purpose. Pastor Dan finds himself in a difficult place, but realizes he is just where God wants him. That was a good reminder to me.

A quick read, Fatal Accusation is a good choice for fans of legal thrillers, and gets a recommended rating from me.

Recommended.

Audience: adults.

Second book in the Windy Ridge Legal Thriller series, “Fatal Accusation” takes up the story shortly after “Trial and Tribulations” ends. Attorneys Olivia Murray and Grant Baxter have barely had time to catch their breath before another attack is launched by the New Age groups. This time the stakes are even higher and the battle is fierce. Many lives are at risk and only prayer and the power of God can prevail.

Once again, I was pulled right into the story as I experienced good against evil and learned more of the enemy’s schemes. As a reader who devoured Frank Peretti’s “This Present Darkness”, I love finding another author who is bold enough to delve into the supernatural realm and spiritual warfare. Rachel Dylan has done an excellent job thus far with this series. Her characters are well-rounded and believable. I love the fact that even though their faith is strong or developing, they still have frequent moments of doubt and questions. Situations are realistic and I like getting glimpses of what is really going on in the spiritual realm.

I highly recommend both books of the Windy Ridge Legal Thriller series. You could read “Fatal Accusation” alone but would gain so much more insight if you read “Trial and Tribulations” first. I can’t wait for the next installment!

I voluntarily reviewed a digital copy of this book that was provided by the author. A favorable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

This is the second book in the Windy Ridge Legal Thriller series, and although it can be read as a standalone, I definitely recommend reading the first book in the series for additional background on the characters and because it is well worth reading. This book picks up with the characters and their lives right after the close of the first book. This author definitely knows how to write a suspense filled story centered around the reality of the spiritual warfare that Pastor Dan and the Wendy Ridge Church found themselves caught up in, and it was a book that I couldn't put down after I started it. I was given an advance copy of this book, but a favorable review was not required. The opinions are expressed are my own, and it is another one from this author that I definitely recommend.

I loved this book. The battle between good and evil continues. The pastor is accused of embezzlement and winds up in jail without the means to post bail. The New Age companies in town are doing their best to bring down the church and to influence young people to take up witchcraft and crystals and other spiritual practices. It is a page turner from the begining.

Wow, this was a great book. I love the main characters in this story. This is a book with a powerful impact. Even though it is only fiction, it does portray truth in how to utilize spiritual weapons when in a battle with Satan and his attacks. What I loved about this book was the proper balance and emphasis of Christians as being the victors in the battle. It is not so heavy on the part of the dark side and the evil from Satan and his demons. This book had a surprise ending I was not expecting. I can't wait to read the 3rd book in this series. This is the second book in a series. I would recommend reading the first book first. It will set the stage for this book.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review and I loved it. Great story about spiritual warfare, love and redemption. The pastor of Windy Ridge church is falsely accused of embezzlement and Olivia, his attorney has a rough job in front of her with members of the church turning their back on the pastor and her blossoming romance with Grant, who's new faith is being shaken. A new ally and hidden enemies keep you on the edge of your seat. There were some unexpected twists and I can't wait to see what the next book has in store.

This book written in the style of Frank Perretti, is about spiritual warfare. I appreciate that because not many authors are dealing with this subject these days. The author did a great job of keeping the suspense high and me turning the pages. This is a legal thriller and I enjoyed that aspect as well as the budding romance between the hero and heroine. I can't wait for the third installment in the Windy Ridge series.
I was given this book and this is my personal opinion.

This book picks up where Trial and Tribulations ended. As with Trial and Tribulations I was pulled right into the story from page one. The battle between good and evil was real, front and center. Rachel's writing reminds me of Frank Peretti's. Having another author who writes about the supernatural is a treat, as there aren't very many who write like this. I love how the characters are still learning about their faith and how these battles stretch and strengthen their faith.
