The Blueziad
An eagle has kidnapped Chick's mother as she was trying to protect her nest from a coyote attack. Now, it is up to Bluezey and Chick to save her. Their rescue mission takes them all the way from Vancouver, Canada, to Mount Everest. Along the way, Bluezey and Chick befriend a blind horse and a seeing-eye dog, which join the journey. A dangerous trio-a python, a crocodile, and a border guard-repeatedly jeopardizes the rescue effort. Can a Buddhist monk, a wizard, a mysterious shadow, and a yeti help the two birds succeed?

This book has a great ending. My favorite charerecter is Chick, beacause she has a bubbly personality. I think it's a great story for girls 8-12.
