Per fortuna Kitty è pronta a diventare Super Kitty e lanciarsi all’avventura!
This was cute if somewhat unremarkable. But I just had to get it when I saw that cover (I love orange cats and sunflowers!) The artwork is really delightful throughout and elevates this to four stars for me. The storytelling is pleasant enough but not a whole lot happens. I do appreciate the emphasis placed on making amends for wrongdoing (so many kids books I'm reading these days seem to teach little to no personal responsibility) and the rooftop garden certainly sounds lovely. Kitty (the little girl) does go out at night by herself in the city (well, she does have cat side-kicks) and leaps across rooftops and such but she has super powers so I guess that's fine? (I haven't read the first book so probably that explains something about this.) Kids didn't seem overly impressed with this, which kind of surprised me... when we finished they did express mild interest in reading another in the series but haven't asked about it since.
Kitty memerlukan ide utk tugas sekolahnya utk merancang taman sekolah.
Bacaan ringan yg sangat menghibur hati.
ENGLISH VERSION BELOW ---------------------------------------
--------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- The third part around Kitty and her cat friends was again very nice to read. Unfortunately, I found the story far less exciting than the first two. I saw that there are already 7 volumes in the original, I'm curious if they will all be translated and if Paula Harrison had enough good ideas to fill so many volumes.
In the third book, the friends discover a beautiful rooftop garden that belongs to a woman and her grumpy old cat. Unfortunately, the garden does not remain a secret, as Pixie tells many other cats about it. When they begin to destroy the garden, Kitty must intervene.
I always like it when Kitty finds new cat friends. I really like when Kitty goes on new adventures. Plus I really like cats and adventures. So I really liked this book. In this book Kitty finds a whole herd of cat friends.
Super cute! Great for fans of Princess in Black! Kitty is a superhero who talks to cats and has all the cat-type-superpowers (super hearing, super sight, super smell, plus she can jump off tall buildings and land on her feet!). I liked the message behind this (sociatal responsibility and apologizing when you are naughty), and the art is truly wonderful. I will give it a pass because it is a children's book, but it /does/ teach that it is okay for domestic cats to be allowed outside (not good for the local wildlife, or the cat themselves) and at one point she does jump off a building, superpowers or no. So, ya know, take that into consideration. But the art and the writing is so good. I wasn't bored or annoyed as an adult reading it, so that is a good sign for parents considering it for coreading.
i'm Not the target audience for this book, got it for my niece but wanted to make sure it was okay and not treaclely. i don't know what happened but the joy in the characters made me love the thing. this is Squirrel Girl w/fewer pictures a better costume and different kind of rodent - cats. great problem solving (we broke a bunch of stuff, if we replace it w/thrift store junk everything will be okay! and it was).
The one book I that I was missing and I found it! This time new adventures, plants, a garden, and more~
As I said in the review for the Kitty and The Twilight Trouble book (posted yesterday), it is always a surprise in which language I can read the book! This time I read the book in Dutch as they didn’t have the book in English! No matter, the translation is pretty well done so I don’t mind. I am just very happy I can read more of Kitty’s adventures!
In this book Kitty is growing a sunflower and thinking of a superb plan for the school’s garden (which gave me nostalgia moments as I remembered back in elementary we also worked in the school’s garden for a while, which was tons of fun, or at least I remember it is as fun, but it’s been years, who knows XD). Thankfully, Pixie has a great idea to help Kitty with thinking of a fun plan and she takes her to a special places. A sky garden! I just loved the descriptions of the garden and thanks to that and the illustrations I could just envision myself there. Enjoying the gorgeousness of the garden and the view beyond that.
I am terribly sad that Pixie once again didn’t think and just blabbed her mouth. I mean really, I get that you want to tell cats about this wonderful place, but maybe should have asked Kitty or Graver. I am still saddened by the other book I read earlier (Twilight Trouble) in which she was also a handful. It seems that Pixie just cannot understand things.
I just loved meeting Graver (not sure about the English name so I will use the Dutch one. It is so fun to see more cats of this city and I loved how enthusiastic he was about the garden and his sweet owner. He looked so much fun with a big patch over his eyes and his stripy tail in 4 colours!
I wasn’t a fan of the group of cats, however it seemed that mostly they were manipulated by one cat, called in Dutch, Hertog. I wasn’t a fan of him. And I wasn’t a fan of the ending which, as we say in Dutch, was just way too zoetsappig for me. It just felt fake and really like, OH YES, this is a children’s book we have to end it with love and friendliness. It just fit didn’t with the cat’s personality and I would have rather seen him act like he did all the time. That would have fitted just a bit more.
I still think it is funny that the book is all in black/orange but then you get descriptions such as this: “big blue eyes” or “a fluffy white cat with green eyes”.
But all in all, I really enjoyed this book and I would have loved to really visit this gorgeous garden. And if I find some pots that I can recycle… well I may just take that idea as well! Don’t forget to drill holes in the bottom though so the water can get out and doesn’t drown the roots.
I adore this cute series - it's perfect for young readers and both illustrations and story are engaging and loveable. Kitty has special cat-like super powers and spends much of her time on adventures with her feline friends. This time she is in search of inspiration to enter a competition to design a new school garden. Pixie, a fluffy white cat woth green eyes tells her of a beautiful rooftop garden that might be just what she needs to get her creative juices flowing. What Kitty discovers is the most beautiful graden she has ever seen. Soon word gets out about the garden and it's enticing catnip bush and before long things get out of hand and the very survival of the beautiful garden comes under threat. So Kitty sets out to restore order, save the garden and even make some new friends along the way but will she be able to find inspiration for her garden design too? Published by Oxford University Press in paperback and audiobook, Kitty and the Sky Garden Adventure is the perfect book to share with your young book lovers, especially those who love cats and gardens!
This is a beautifully presented chapter book, filled to the brim with delightful illustrations and will be perfect for readers age 5+ and 7+.

This is the third entry in the Kitty series by Paula Harrison. In this title, Kitty, a young girl with special cat powers, has a school assignment where she needs to design a garden. One of her kitten friends hears this and tells her about a roof garden nearby that is beautiful and well maintained. Kitty and her friends sneak in but apologize when they have been found in the garden without permission. Ultimately they are invited back the next evening. However, when they arrive the garden has been overrun by other cats that have heard about the garden but do not treat it well. Kitty and her friends shoo off the interlopers and work to put the garden to rights when they realize the cats have stolen the shell windchimes. Kitty and her friends find the cats and the windchimes and broker a peace between the garden's guardian and the cats and soon all are welcome to visit the garden as long as they follow the rules of the garden. This is a sweet tale that will find an audience in the early chapter book readers. It would be a fun read and thus a recommended purchase.
In the third installment of the series Kitty is all about gardening. She is growing a sunflower and when Pixie stops by for an adventure Kitty cannot refuse! I think the art in this series is just getting lovelier and lovelier. The sky garden is so beautiful. We meet many new cats in this book: Diggory who is a caretaker of the sky garden and a few naughty cats who have too much catnip and rampage around the garden and steal the special wind chime made of seashells. Kitty, Pumpkin and Pixie tidy up the sky garden find the naughty cats and ask that they return the wind chime. What a wonderful story!

Kitty still doesn't seem to use her powers to help others, just herself and her cats. She breaks and enters again with her cats, and the cats all get high on catnip... Great, *sarcasm*. And later, you find the characters are actually the cause of the problems that befall the older cat and his garden. I just think there's so much lost potential here, and the characters just begin to feel entitled and self-absorbed. I think if Kitty is supposed to be an heroic character, the readers need to see her with heroic aspirations and motivations. I listened to the audio version, so I can't speak to the illustrations, but from the cover, I can tell they're probably wonderful and make up for a disappointing story.
Super cute story. I originally bought this because of the cover with cats and a cute illustration. I haven't read books 1 or 2, but it seems like they can be read standalone. The illustrations in this book are lovely, especially with the limited color palette. The story itself teaches lessons of saying sorry when you make a mistake or do something wrong, and helping others. I would have adored this series as a child. A girl who has adventures with her cat.
This was a really sweet book. It shows how we can enjoy things yet still be careful and respectful. Kitty is a good character, she seems to have a strong moral compass and will try her best to right any wrongs. Kitty's cat friends are good too, I liked how ||Pixie was willing to admit that she made a mistake, she didn't lie she simply owned up to her mistake and apologised||. Overall a good book that I would definitely reccomend to new readers.

Recommended to me by an 8 year-old cat lover who said this was her favorite book. If I was 8 years-old, it would probably be mine, too. It follows the adventures of Kitty, a girl who dons her cat ears and cape and, along with a few of her favorite cat friends, sets out at night to solve mysteries and make the world a better place.
I didn’t realize that this was not the first book in series. So yeah…I’m going to read more of these. Cute illustrations and fun little plots. And you know….cats.
The third enchanting tale featuring superhero Kitty and her charming cat crew. In this adventure, Harrison brings a subtle yet engaging focus to the beauty and magic of nature, particularly in protecting and nurturing this in the heart of a concrete city. With nods to recycling and revamping, young and newly independent readers will equally love and learn from this delightful tale.
While the whimsical drawings pulled me in, what stands out just as much is the lyrical, descriptive text. Superhero Kitty and her cat-like powers and her feline friends will delight young readers, and the vocabulary is surprisingly challenging for an early chapter book. This is a series sure to enchant youngsters (say ages 4-7) without being a chore for parents to read.
I read this to evaluate the quality of the translation for my public library. The answer is that the language is fine, just fine. I would not have expected less from Alfaguara. In truth, this is probably the best series for early Spanish language readers that has come to my hands since I started evaluating these kinds of books for U. S. public librarians.
These are such cute, quick reads. Ava’s favorite part was the beginning when Kitty was designing her sky garden. Owen liked when they put the windchime back together at the end and I liked that part too. Kevin’s favorite part of this one was when Kitty, Pixie, and Pumpkin met Diggory and explored the sky garden.
LOVE the book design and illustrations. I didn’t love that Kitty and friends knew they weren’t allowed in the garden, but they snuck in anyway, and were only sorry when they got caught. It lessened the impact of how naughty the other cats were, because in this story, everyone broke the rules. They helped fix things, but only because they were forced to do so.
