Exciting end (probably) of the arc! We get some gorgeous splash pages where the mangaka really lets the weight and impact of each attack expand and sit with you. The developments and successes/failures are great, I look forward to seeing just what impact they have on the rest of the series.

If I had one complaint it's that I really do not care about Shin's speeches. I'm sure they're supposed to be gruff and straightforward - he has no education to speak of, and his whole character is abrasive and to-the-point - but when he speaks I don't really care. Maybe it's the translator, who knows! But so many other manga protagonists can get their big talk-no-jutsu moments that stay with you and with Shin I find myself almost tuning out whenever he speaks. It's disappointing when this huge arc leads up to one big monologue from Shin where he finally takes the lead and is making himself up to be this great warrior and... it falls flat because I don't care what he's talking about. I'm more invested in what others, like Kyoukai, say about him than what he says about himself.

Après avoir plongé dans les abysses de l'adversité animée par la vengeance, dans le but d'anéantir l'ennemi et de vaincre, nous voici plongés dans un autre aspect de l'adversité. Avec Renpa nous découvrons que les Grands Généraux de Qin et Zhao n'étaient pas tous, pas toujours et pas uniquement ennemis mais aussi (presque) amis, car comme dit si bien Renpa: il n'y avait personne de mieux placé qu'eux-mêmes pour comprendre les peines des autres. Maintenant que cette ère est révolue et que les Six Grands Généraux de Qin, la flamme qui animait Renpa, ont disparu, que lui reste-t-il en ces temps nouveaux? Que devenir quand sa raison d'être n'est plus?

J'ai été très touchée par la rancune de Moubou, la nostalgie d'un Renpa seul vestige des anciens temps glorieux et les souvenirs partagés avec Ouki.
Encore un tome se hisse parmi les meilleurs.
