I liked this one so much more than I thought I would. Sherry Spencer gets a $20 bill and on it is a note "for a good time call Kit". Sherry thinks that Kit is a girl, but it is in fact a guy. Kit gets upset his ex-fling is trying to seek revenge by giving out his personal number and tells Sherry to destroy the $20 bill, but she is like "no" she wants a $20 in exchange for this one. $20 is $20. So Kit and Sherry exchange with some hostility. Sherry thinks she will never see Kit again only he is the CEO of the company that is she trying to get a advertising contract. From their they banter and then a friendship develops. I loved how it was not insta-love, but you saw and felt how things developed between these two people.

It was a nice romance.

Wonderfully sexy and funny, contemporary romance

Sherry Spencer is a fresh-faced, 30-year-old, advertising whiz kid who's won so many awards, her boss grants her free rein to accept or decline any client she wants. Her business success has not hardened her into uncaring callousness, however, and when Sherry encounters a twenty-dollar bill that has scrawled on it, "For a good time call Kit," with a local phone number included, she doesn't hesitate to call and warn the hapless "Kit" that she has a potentially serious problem.

When "Kit" answers her call, Sherry is startled to discover that "Kit" is a man--a very intense and forceful man. Kit insists that Sherry shred the bill, but she refuses to waste that much money, leaving him no option but to meet her in person and exchange the defaced bill for one of his own.

Christian "Kit" Fleming is the CEO of Bella Luna Industries, Inc., a huge account that Sherry's boss very much wants for his firm, something that Kit figures out soon after he meets Sherry and learns her name. He is intensely attracted to her beauty, intelligence and her strength--though he also finds her stubbornness highly irritating, as irritating as she obviously finds his own strong-mindedness. Kit withholds the quite pertinent information of his full identity in order to spring it on her when they are formally introduced the next morning in the boardroom of her company.

Kit very much enjoys catching the formidable Sherry off guard, but he soon discovers that she has more than earned her superlative reputation, and he becomes as determined to have Sherry in charge of his account as he is to lure her into his bed. Unfortunately for both his zealous goals, the complete control that Kit requires above everything else, in all situations, is something Sherry will never grant him.

This romantic comedy has a terrific "cute meet," and the clash of steely wills between Kit and Sherry provides the reader with a joyous romp. I personally love reading a contemporary romance like this which offers head-butting between lovers who are true equals, along with plenty of amusing repartee that fans the sensual flames.

I read this book as a Kindle ebook. It is well edited and formatted, making it easy to read.

I rate this book as follows:

Heroine: 5 stars

Sherry Spencer couldn’t believe someone had deliberately written “for a good time, call Kit “ on a twenty dollar bill and provided the phone number. Being a good Samaritan she felt it was her duty to notify Kit of someone’s ridiculous prank. What she had not expected was a surly toned pompous man on the phone who reluctantly agreed to swap twenties and then gave her attitude about it. His loss she figured, really what man goes by the name Kit?

Christian “Kit” Fleming can’t wait to see the look on Sherry Spencer’s face when she realizes he is the CEO of the company her advertising agency is trying to land, not only that she thought his product was nothing special when he asked her about. He couldn’t wait to see the groveling begin. However, Sherry is a contradiction of everything he knows she didn’t even flinch when she saw him. She gave him her candid opinion and told him was wrong about a number of things, no one told Kit he was wrong, ever.

Battle between the wills, Sherry doesn’t have time for Kit and after a dinner he conned her into goes slightly awry with Sherry pretending she is dating Kit the lines have been crossed. Kit doesn’t do relationships, Sherry does the only thing they can both agree on is they are attracted to each other but Sherry’s stubborn stance has Kit trying to get creative in order to seduce her to his bed.

Synopsis
Have you ever seen a phone number written on a dollar bill? Have you ever wondered what would happen if you called the number?
When Sherry Spencer gets change from tipping a delivery boy, she receives a twenty dollar bill with “For a Good Time, Call Kit” followed by a phone number written on it. Sherry decides to call the number and try to arrange a meeting with “Kit” to try and return the bill. While meeting, they talk and he recognizes the smell of her shampoo as one his company makes. Not telling her why, he asks her opinion of the shampoo. She informs him she only is using it because she is in advertising and tries the products of accounts she is trying to obtain. She goes on to insult the product, not realizing she is set to meet him the very next day to discuss her advertising ideas for the very product.
Kit instantly finds Sherry perky and kind of annoying. During their product meeting the next day, she is the first person to put him in his place and tell him he is wrong and he goes from annoyed by her to intrigued.
Sherry is all about love, romance, and happily ever after. Kit is all about his rules of no monogamy, no commitment, and certainly no love. The problem is they have so much sexual chemistry and are forced to work together till the campaign is over.

Formatting
The story is written from both Sherry and Kits points of view. More Sherry then Kit I would say.

My Opinion
The story was cute. I enjoyed it. I thought the main character development was great, but its lacking in supporting characters. There is Rachel, Kit’s sister. Samantha, Kit’s ex. And really that is it. Samantha had a good set up to be a possible villain trying to get in the way of Sherry and Kit, but it never went further than the set up. And does Sherry have no friends. She talks to no one about what’s going on with Kit, how she feels about him, or how she thinks he feels about her. The story was really cute, but the could’ve had more. It was a great starting point, but the author should’ve developed it more. Its a good read, don’t get me wrong. Its fun and I think people will really enjoy it, but It could’ve been great.

When Sherry Spencer, advertising whiz, receives a twenty dollar bill in her change with “for a good time, call Kit...” written on it she gives it a call if only to let Kit know that her phone # is out there. Turns out Kit is Christian “Kit” Fleming, definitely not a her. He isn't thrilled when he finds out about the bill and demands Sherry tear it up. But twenty bucks is twenty bucks and she offers to meet and swap it out with him. When they meet he recognizes the scent of her shampoo and mentions it. She explains she is trying it out as she has to pitch an ad campaign to the company that makes it. She is less than complimentary when she speaks of the product. Turns out Kit is the guy she needs to pitch to.
Sherry thinks Kit is a sexy uptight stick in the mud. Kit thinks Sherry is a perky pain in the butt. Working together on the ad campaign Kit learns that Sherry knows her stuff and isn't a “yes man” type of gal. Sherry learns that Kit has his reasons for being a “stick in the mud”. Can the two meet in the middle and find happiness?

I adored this story. Mostly because Sherry is smart, sexy, and comfortable in her own skin. She knows what she wants and doesn't settle. Kit isn't as far from redemption as he thinks he is. This is a wonderfully sweet and funny romance.

I’d like to thank Bell Bridge Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I was initially attracted to For A Good Time Call… by Trish Jenson when I read the blurb about it given on NetGalley, it was homourous and had me curious about what was going to happen next. As soon as I read the first line of the novel I knew it was going to be my kind of book…the main character Sherry Spencer was singing an off key version of Celine Dion's "I Will Always Love You," which I have to admit I've been known to do myself on more than one occasion.

The story itself starts right away with the "prank" that gave the book its title. Our main character Sherry receives a $20 bill with "For a good time, call Kit" and a phone number written on it. Curious and wanting to help Sherry does just what the bill states. After a meeting where $20 dollar bills are exchanged, Sherry and Christian "Kit" Flemings have to spend a large amount of time together based on a work situation. The book goes through it's course with Kit trying to get into Sherry's pants while battling his childhood demons, and Sherry trying to stay away from Kit so he can't break her heart.

I must admit that the humour imbedded in this novel had me laughing out loud so many times I started to receive some weird looks from my family. It was just my kind of humour and gave the novel the right amount of playfulness.

Now here's the part of the review where I would be gushing and fawning over my new favourite male lead, but for once in my life that's not going to happen. Don't get me wrong Kit was the best kind of male, all sexy, smart and powerful with just the right amount of hurt most male leads seem to go through, but I have to admit Sherry made the book for me. In my opinion, she was absolutely the best character in this novel. She was smart, funny, successful, full of life and laughter, and loved chocolate. Add all those factors to being a little insecure about her looks and searching for her own HEA - with the whole shebang of love, marriage, and kids - and Sherry pretty much sums up all the female population, making her extremely relatable to most women. I adored the fact that I could relate to some of her antics like the singing, craving chocolate, and reading romance novels. The realtablity of Sherry, the all-round maleness of Kit, and the humour of the novel make For A Good Time Call… an amazing novel that I would recommend to everyday women who love romance, a little humour, and a HEA.

Trish Jenson's novel might be a little predictable (I mean everyone knows that Kit and Sherry will get together) but the journey she takes you through to get to the HEA is definitely worth a read. From laughing out loud, to anxiously waiting for the two main characters to finally see the light, to crying through the all of the last two chapters are what I look for in a good book, and I'd therefore recommend that anyone who agrees with me should read For A Good Time Call… to see what I'm talking about.

A copy of this novel was provided by the publisher through NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Funny, witty, charming and heart-warming. 'For A Good Time Call' was a fabulous quick read. When Sherry Spencer, an ad executive, gets a twenty dollar bill with a “For a good time call Kit” written on it, she acts on as a good civilian in hopes of saving some poor girl extended embarrassment. What Sherry Spencer didn't expect was for Kit to be a man. She meets up with Kit in order to return to twenty dollar bill, and of course to see the man behind the message. Of course she didn't expect Kit to be her next client, a controlling CEO that hired her company to do a commercial on their beauty product. Sparks fly as neither of them are able to agree at the beginning on the vision they have for the commercial which in turn is followed by a heated attraction.

Kit Fleming is controlling, with his own set of rules for the women he meets and beds. So when Sherry wonders into his life, he isn't prepared to deal with the attraction he feels for her. She is one of the only women who has somehow managed to reject him over and over again, and didn't fall for his demanding ways.

The story was absolute blast. I loved the characters, Kit and Sherry were very well written. I thought the story had it's adorable funny moments. There was a time that I hated Sherry especially when Kit was trying so hard and she would just poke fun of him. I wanted to put him under my pillow and comfort him, heh. The attraction between the two characters was thick and believable. A great fast paced read, that left me yearning for more. The plot was amusing and engaging. Thought I heard people compare it to Fifty Shades of Gray I don't have a leg to lean on, as I myself never read those books. But know that 'For a Good Time Call...' held my attention through and through.

This was a adorable short read. I am a fan of Trish Jensen but had not read this story. This is a reprint and I am glad I found it. I enjoyed the characters very much.

I will be honest... As a fan of Fifty Shades of Grey this had all the makings of a PG rated version... He is a big time CEO with control and love issues and she is a woman who is looking for love and yet is independent when it comes to work. But keep in mind the original of this story was out long before Fifty Shades was.... I just could not let the similarities go without notice.

This is a enjoy quick read for an afternoon curled up on the couch (or in a sick bed in my case) that will having you smiling and wishing for Mr. Right to come along.

This was a cute romance that I read when I need something fluffy and easy. I loved that Sherry was an older (30s) h with a great job who knew what she wanted out of life and relationships and would settle for nothing less. Kit held onto his "stupid" for a little longer than necessary but finally got it right. I love how he pursues her relentlessly. This was a great book.

It does have an outdated feel to it, seems even older than 1999. But I guess I just love cheese because there is something about this book that really appeals to me.

It was a little rushed in the end. But I liked how the author showed us how the heroine was smart, fun, and strong.
Also, lots of funny moments and witty banter between the two.

Only thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars was the rushed ending, and a lot of things about advertising/creating an ad...were wrong. A CEO would never make the decisions showed here, he has some marketing background, and he would not insist on creating an ad with a supermodel. It's marketing 101 that you tailor the ad to your core consumers, hence a normal looking woman

This is a great story. Fast paced, witty dialogue, and a hero who truly doesn't get it. This is one of the best set-ups for a meet in a romance that I have read in a long time. Finding someone via money doesn't sound like a good set up, but Jensen keeps it from being too creepy, and actually makes it funny. I really enjoyed this one, and will put Jensen on my 'to read' list. I got this title for free via one of amazon's promotions.

I like this story because the heroine is a outspoken, take no crap from anyone. The first chapter has Sherry talking back to pompous Kit. I enjoyed the audio of this book because of the talents of narrator, Karen Commins. Stern pledged bachelor Kit does not understand a woman saying no to him until he meets Sherry.

Overall, this was a cute book - perfect if you are looking for a fun and light read.

Sherry notices a note on her change from a delivery "For a good time, call Kit". She decides that women must stick together, and decides to call Kit and warn her. She is taken aback when she realizes Kit is a man, not a woman!

"Well? What was on the bill? And if you answer, 'In God We Trust,' this conversation is over."

"For a good time, call Kit.' And of course, your phone number."

They decide to meet and exchange $20 bills so that his number is out of circulation. Once they meet, he recognizes her shampoo smell and during conversation she proceeds to tell him how much she doesn't like it. Little does she know that he is the CEO of the company that produces it and tomorrow she has an advertising pitch to deliver to him.

After meeting again at the pitch, he decides to hire her and from there they spend lots of time together. They are both attracted to each other but he doesn't believe in commitment.

"For the record, if I could love a woman that way... I'd choose you."

That is the one thing I don't particularly like about this book - he falls into the category of commitment phobic males that many authors right about. But of course there is a HEA!

"He took one step and stopped. "Oh, what the hell." With that he swept her into his arms and Sherry gasped. With a grin, he kissed her. "Even I've seen Gone With The Wind."

This book had quite a few LOL moments and should be considered as a read if you are looking for something quick and light.

This book tell the story of Sherry who found a phone no written on a 20 dollar note and suspected that someone played a prank on the owner of the call decided to alert him. As Christian Fleming, or “Kit” wanted to have the dollar back, they met each other for the first time without Sherry realising that Kit is the owner of the product that she is trying to pitch her idea to the next day. Sherry is a dedicated in her work and she work well with those who is open to ideas. Unlike her, Kit is a very determined person and is used to people who give in to his own idea. The meeting did not go own well and Sherry is fully expected to lose the account. Yet, she found herself attending Kit’s sister dinner. Kit is intrigued by her and he seems to be able to open up to her. It is something that has never happened to him before and it really scared him. Kit doesn’t believe in commitment while Sherry is. Yet, all Kit think of the whole time is Sherry ,

I like the story very much. Simple yet dramatic especially at the end of the story. As a reader, i can feel Kit’s struggle with himself over Sherry and for Sherry to let go of her love for him is just too much for me to take. I couldn’t help but shed a few tears in the end!

A mysterious prank brought them together for sizzling-hot romance . . .
“I’m just a nosy little ad exec who’s dying to see who invited me to meet you.”
“Listen, Sherry Whoever-You-Are, I’m very, very busy,” Kit Fleming answered. “If you could just speed this up, I’d be wildly grateful.”
Sherry became uncomfortably aware that he had a very sexy phone voice. “Well, you see, I got a delivery tonight, and I didn’t have anything smaller than a fifty, so the kid had to give me change.”
“Uh-huh,” he said, the grunt tinged with annoyance. “Fascinating.”
“The twenty he gave me had some writing on it.”
“Writing?”
“‘For a good time, call Kit.’ And of course, your phone number.”

This story is fun, but I'm really glad I got it for free on NetGalley and didn't pay the $10.95 that it's listed as.
It's not that the story is bad, but it's unoriginal and very predictable.
The plot's been done, the characters are pretty 2 dimensional and the dialogue in the sex scenes seemed awkward.

It was a decent Sunday afternoon read - light, fluffy, with some laughs and the occasional swoony moment, but it just didn't have the substance I'm looking for.

Too much sizzle, not enough bacon. This very light romp had the potential to be way, way hotter. The dialogue was witty, there was heat between the H/h but.... it was a typical Hero (Kit) with too much money and emotional baggage who promised a lot but hardly delivered. Yes, there is plenty of emotionally driven romance but I felt the author could have gotten more out of the material than she did. It was well written enough that I finished it, hoping it would deliver the, err, bacon, in the end, but the single (!) sex scene has our heroine in pain and our Hero rushing the job. The author has them going on to a night of wild abandon (outside, in the cold, I might add) before heroine decides she's in love.

The best part of the book for me was that the heroine (Sherry) was older (30s), was successful and knows what she wants in a relationship. However, the book felt like a Harlequin teen romance from the seventies, when authors were selling romance to the Nancy Drew crowd.

Rules were made to be broken. At least that's what Sherry and Kit will come to realize. Sherry wants the typical romantic dream. Wedding, marriage, kids and Kit wants quite the opposite. Sherry dared to call the number she found on a $20 bill which read "for a good time call Kit" what she found on the other end was her future little did Kit know it was also his.

This book was good at the beginning and then just didn't deliver enough passion. It had so much potential to be a 4 star book for me but it kind of just plateaued . I was interested in their relationship and liked the way Kit and Sherry kept coming together but when the time came for them to actually get together I was rather disappointed. The main characters were well written but everyone around them fell flat. It was a good quick read but it definitely left me wanting more.

I found this book when I was browsing Amazon with my new kindle right after Christmas. I was pleased to discover that I already owned it! So, I downloaded it and started it immediately. Unfortunately, other books (highly anticipated books) came out and put For a Good Time, Call... into pause.

This book started out great. But about half way through, the characters had a personality shift. They started doing things that were against their previously started desires and it didn't feel like the same book anymore.

It wasn't a horrible book, but the personality changes combined with me putting the book down to read other books contributed to me losing interest in the book and being bored through the last 30%.

This is another book that has sat in my library a little too long. Decided to open it and give it a whirl and I was not disappointed.
A story about love, trust, hurt, and losing control.

A controlling, sexy man with a list that he lives his life by and the main being..not Falling in love. That is all working out good until Kit meets Sherry, a woman who gives him a run for his money. She is smart, stubborn and not about to let him have control.

To the author....

What's not to like about a book that starts off with a prank and a sassy heroine?

I really enjoyed this story and it's definitely a 3.5 for me. I was a little confused in regards to Kit's attraction to Sherry. First he wasn't even attracted to her and then in the next second that's all he was?

Besides that little hiccup, the story is full of laughter and emotion. It is Trish Jensen after all. It's what you should expect and what she delivers.
