The macabre humor and Gothic settings characterized many cartoons, first apparent in the New Yorker, of known American cartoonist Charles Samuel Addams.
Chas Addams best created "The Addams Family" comic characters, adapted for a variety of media. His signature style involved single panels.

Another great collection of Addams cartoons for my cartoonist collection. The man was a genius. (some of the panels aren't as good as others which is why it's a 4 rating, but he's such a great comic mind and artist!!)
Growing up I always saw this book on my parent's book shelf and assumed it was some cheesy Christmas story book until I really sat and looked at it and made the connection. The cover art had thrown me, it was the Addams family! Chas Addams! I couldn't wait to crack it I had fallen in love with the movies and even liked the TV series my dad had loved as a kid, so naturally I Loved the root of the Family's freakishness! I was not disappointed!
