Canon George Rawlinson (23 November 1812 – 7 October 1902) was a 19th century English scholar, historian, and Christian theologian. He was born at Chadlington, Oxfordshire, and was the younger brother of Sir Henry Rawlinson.
As is usually the case with late 19th century and early 20th century archaeological, linguistic, and anthropological literature, this book is both extremely informative and interesting and mentions the bible about 10,000 more times than necessary.
