After decades of war and conflict, the Terran Commonwealth is retreating from the stars, abandoning the hard-won colonies and outposts scattered across known space to their fate. Raiders, rogues and renegades sweep forth from the far frontier to pillage and plunder, and with the once-mighty Commonwealth Navy reduced to a mere shadow of its former self, there is nothing to stop them.
Except for one man. Lieutenant-Major Max Duquesne. A disgraced Marine fighter pilot, court-martialed and exiled from Earth.
A warrior seeking a war.
And on the ravaged, abandoned deep space outposts of humanity, he will find what he is looking for.
To hell with this Book😩 I kept reading and reading and reading and it never did get to any substantial places where there was a battle Or a mercenary attack. The book is mostly just conversations or thoughts of the main character. Not my kind of sci-fi. DNF.

This book needs edited. There are places where words are used incorrectly in the sentence. If someone had read this book over before publishing it you would have easily corrected. The story line had potential and I think I would have rated this book higher if it was not for these mistakes.
True space opera at its finest. Engaging characters and lots of twists and turns. Action enough for most action junkies. The final twist was completely unexpected.
