Eleven chilling tales, dredged deep from within the dark mind of Ian Woodhead... The ghost’s huge mouth fastened onto Graham’s head and took out a section like a child biting into a ripe plum.... The girl held Trevor by his neck and pulled off another piece of his cheek with her teeth, she looked at Aiden whilst chewing and winked... Not for the faint of heart.
Ian Woodhead is just past the age of forty. He lives in the north of England and is married to a wonderful woman. He has forgotten how many children he has. He had been writing for nearly twenty years but has only just gained the confidence to start showing his work. Ian finds it a little creepy writing about himself in the third person.
so far so awesome. I'm currently about half way through this gruesome bunch of short stories and not a bad one yet. just the thing to read on the night shift. Finished this cracking book of horror shorts last night and was disappointed - I wanted it to carry on. there's not a weak story among them. Ian Woodhead is fast becoming one of my favourite storytellers in this genre
AS other reviewers have mentioned, spelling errors detract from the flow of these stories. Perhaps it could benefit from a new release after these are addressed.
Overall a fine book, but the horrid spelling was nearly enough to make me stop reading it. Stories weren't particularly dark or scary, but enough still to make them a fun read.
